Really poor today and no excuses for the defeat. West Ham were better and wanted it more. Given the ref's positioning for the red card, I don't see how he could have given anything else, and he blew for it before the shot was taken. It was poor from Williams and Fabianski was unfortunate based on the replays. Even so, a defeat was the likely result for me, even before the card. We just weren't at the races.

Richards to start in favour of Taylor against Spurs?

Rangel can't be that poor again, can he? Perhaps rest periods aren't his thing and he needs to keep playing! Same goes for Ash.

    Stick with Bartley.

Start with Dyer and Routledge (bring Montero on later in the game).

Start with Carroll for Leon - Spurs will give us time to play and he and Siggy will open the Spurs defence with some slick passes.

The thing is we don't have the quality in the squad to make meaningful changes.

unfortunately it seems you need to make the fouls obvious to the ref. Every time Bony goes near a player in their box they floor and in Palace case fall with no one near them.

Chico at least made it obvious that Carroll likes to elbow people. A little over dramatic but Carroll didn't do it again that game!

Great goal for Bony, the rest was poor and the ref ! say no more , free header for carol after knowing before the game he always scores against us even tho he aint scored anywhere in a while ! 40% happy with that.

Did not deserve anything today on balance.

What happened to our great passing, often just passed to the opposition?

All season I've been saying we are wide open at right-back and today was no exception. Rangel was poor and is reducing each game. Jazz did well out of position but he's no Taylor and he too was vulnerable.

Today we needed solid FB play due to W.Hams aerial threat but both were poor.

Thought our wing play was very weak today too.

My letter to Santa this year is a plea for a RB in January. Time has caught up with and hit Rangel and I don't want to see him reduced to becoming a liability, I simply don't want to see this happen to a Swansea legend.

Being sentimental, we must sign a right back now to keep Rangel's legacy intact.

Imo, this was a benchmark game for us to measure ourselves by. W.Ham are in our 'little league' and it was important we matched them. If we won we'd be as good as we think we are: a top 6 European competition seeking team. Unfortunately we didn't stand up well today, W. Ham out muscled and outplayed us, they had our measure and deserved the win. However it has to be said that yet again we got fekked over by a cnut in black, but his incompetence didn't cost us the game, it just confirmed our defeat.

All in all I'm disappointed but not overly so. On to the next week.

Monk got his game plan way wrong today, instead of trying to play to counter the Hammers strengths, he should have just stuck to our own game plan and style of play, he was far too reactionary to West Hams game, should have concentrated on what we do best, which is 'keep ball', I've never seen us play so much ball in the air back to the opposition, absolutely bloody criminal, I'm not going to start with the subs, but our defence creaked all game with this strategy, and he should have changed it, our goal was against the run of play first half, and you could see that we were struggling with this game plan at half time, anyway one to forget...............<ok>

Unlucky today boys. Could have gone either way.

Carrol was the difference. I'm glad we let you have Bony now.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

2 Shots on goal aint ever going to win many games .That being said , and we deserved nothing from the game , but on the fab sending off the guy he fouled not only handled the ball but directed it with his hand to further his ability to round our keeper .

Utter garbage, Carole hasn't scored in over 270 minutes of Premier league football, and you won't get another team giving the lump of lard so much space again, dream on!............................<laugh>

His name is Sakho (8 goals in 10). Good today wasn't he? Could have had a hattrick.

Thank you for the sentiments, but I think it is fairly clear Bony is a better player! If we had someone who could cross as well as Downing then Bony would probably be scoring as many headers as he did last season.

Bony scored 1 and Caroll scored 1, the other one was an own goal by Leon, heading into our net. Bony is s more complete player aerial strength and sublime footwork. I know who I would prefer in our team.

Bartley looked worse than Carroll looked better frankly . And as for Big Sam saying that the reason we got Bony was bevause Carroll was his first choice ,we cant thank Big Sam enough and should offer him a key to the City for the favor .Plus , Bony""s a great guy , Carroll is a knob

I'd prefer Bony because she isn't a whining thug who elbows anything that moves then cries when's touched. Pansy.

Chico got Carroll's number from he first elbow the ref ignored and after that let him get away with nothing.
Chico might have been a bit OTT on the the theatricals on the day but he also got stuck in to Carroll and wound him up in the process.
Bartley did OK but he hasn't had the senior experience of Chico or Fernandez. I doubt Amat would have faired any better.
