Firstly Heed is a top lad and I had the pleasure of his company for todays game.
Cheers fella, let's do it again sometime.

    Other highlights of the day:

    - Colbacks running
    - Colo's Class
    - Janmaat's general play
    - Sissoko's boots
    - Pardew's tactics and subs

    Lowlights:

    - Saylor and his lack of footballing intelligence
    - Tiote and him not looking like he gave a ****
    - Sammy's passing

Time for me to go and get pissed.

    Fab, fab day.

In fairness Saylor was playing well until.......

Also Dummett had another superb defensive performance.

Janmaat and Ayoze were class. Janmaat continues to look like an upgrade on Debuchy. Good to see Colo steps back in at the high level he was achieving before his injury.

janmaat is class. Said to heed that he gives us that added defensive cover as well as his attacking prowess. Some cracking balls in.

In what? His shorts, his "y" fronts, his jock-strap?

The simple fact you're making this comment does cause me a great deal of discomfort and concern!!!

Thought Janmaat was immense today. Also thought Colback had his best game in a Toon shirt. Dummett is looking very good at whatever position he plays....Time to ditch Tiote though...have the ball away more in one match then Abeid's done in 3..

Agreed. Janmaat in, Debuchy out, is looking like very good business at the moment. Really impressed with him today...................... I wonder who we will replace him with when he is poached :emoticon-0149-no:

I thought Ayoze knocked his pan in today when he got switched to rw. Really worked hard and mucked in. As did all the lads.

Tiote does not seem at the races atm and he is becoming our least important player. We have cover for him in Colback, Abeid and also Anita and he seems like he has took his eye off the ball..

Special mention to Pardew today as he got his subs/tactics and play spot on.

I am convinced that our game tactic is to preserve first 30 minutes and let the other team work hard for the ball.... Then we raise our game mid 30 mins of a game and get the goodies and then sit back and reserve. An interesting statistic (I will find it) suggests that more than average 60% of games are won/lost in the 2 1/3 of all games. I.E the most important part of games is 31 mins to 61...... especially with a small squad (injuries) we managing the players well!

Just made a thread after reading this mate, it's a definite pattern for us. Nice that we are scoring these type of really game altering goals as well as it seemed we used to be on the end of them a lot.
