Thought we were so much better after the changes -- that should have been the starting team, with the possible exception of keeping Robertson back. Bonkers not to start Jela in a game we could have won.

McGregor and thats saying something for an overall performance when the MOM is a keeper that makes 3 saves

Chester was solid , Aluko had a few neat touches , same as Brady but nothing to really make a top 3

we were solid and pretty good scoring when we played 3 at the back why have we changed to this dismal f**king thing that is crossing the line every game? why has Brucie changed something that didnt need to be changed

McGregor....saved us the point and made other good saves
    Dawson...reliable as ever
Meyler....one of the few players willing to attack the ball in MF, and put in some good low crosses early on.

McGregor - Would have lost without him
Dawson - The best passer on the pitch now that Huddlestone has lost form
    Chester - Some important tackles

Thought Aluko did ok early on

Can't help but feel that if the team that finished the match had started we might have made more of a fist of it.

Would've put Meyler in there but simply can't pass. Quinn was also very good closing down, too bad Hernandez does **** all to help on the left side closing down.

Jelavic has been sick all week, that's why he didn't start, he obviously wouldn't have been dropped for nothing. <doh>

Can't just blame the players for this one, the team selection/substitutions were really poor.

McGregor, Chester, Dawson. Curtis going to find it hard to get back into a back 4, games like today we really miss long, the nuisance factor IP front and pace to get in behind has been a big miss this year

Chester - solid defensive performance again.
Dawson - also put in a solid performance against a strong front pair for WBA.
Aluko shades third place - I'm not a great fan of his but he does seem to have improved in recent weeks and isn't giving the ball away so much.

I thought Huddlestone was OK and that both he and Livermore produced some good cross field balls. Rosie was steady and Elmo put in a couple of decent crosses. Greegsy really didn't have much to do but made three very good saves when called upon. Brady, Robertson and Jelavic all made a difference when they came on.

I'd go with three at the back when Davies ends his exile. We have the players to play that system.

When we signed abel I thought he was meant to be rapid but he looked really sluggish today and got comfortably out paced by lescott and pocognoli a couple of times.

I don't think he was out paced they just defended sensibly.
