Shame that they had to go back there, Istanbul and India have better circuits, would have preferred we go back to one of them!
You can't help feeling that Mclaren would stand more chance of making the right choice if they did...
I disagree about Malaysia, the other 2 we can do without. Istanbul is vastly superior to either in every way.
Ifvthe rumours if talking to saxo bank / Lego are true ,would that not suggest that the mega bucks multi year contract with Sony etc are dead in the water ? I wonder if Ron' s. shot his team in the foot ? And he Has to go with JM for financial reasons ?
Magnussen is to be retained. Even ignoring the price of caps in the McLaren store, why else would Ron be in Denmark chasing big Danish sponsors for 2015 if they were away to axe a Danish driver? Unless he is using that to decide and not getting them would see Button retained...but i think all things considered, that confirms the writing is on the wall for Jenson. Which is crazy.
The decision is to be delayed till friday.... not really I wonder if this will have a bearing on the outcome? http://cphpost.dk/news/lego-turns-down-offer-to-sponsor-magnussen.11876.html?
Not being able to get a major sponsor to tie in with Kmag would indicate the decision was always financial and never about the best pairing.
The Korean GP wont happen next year. The plan wasnt even to run it at the Korean International Circuit in Yeongam but on the streets of Seoul by May 3rd? Not gonna happen
According to Benson - and I swear I am not making this up - it is part of a loophole to give the teams an extra engine next year. See, the regs state that the number of engines next year is four. But that operates under the assumption there are twenty races. Korea's addition makes it twenty-one. Because the number of races for engine purposes is decided according to the original schedule, Korea can then pull out (for a number of reasons, major one being it's within a week of Spain and that's not logistically possible), teams get their extra engine, everyone wins.
I saw that at the bottom of the link you posted re:Bianchi. Is F1 so broken that the people running it are loop holing their own rules. Is Korea the inside Joke of F1?
