After another defeat it's time to shake things up I think. Wes Morgan is suspended, David Nugent is a doubt and Dean Hammond is out. Apart from that there are no other injuries so here is what I would go with Schmeichel De Laet Moore Wasilewski Schlupp King James Cambiasso Mahrez Albrighton Ulloa Subs- Hamer, Simpson, Konchesky, Drinkwater, Knockaert, Wood, Vardy
Sticking with Kasper. Dont agree but I know Pearson will agree with you! Id go with Hamer RDL. Wasyl. Moore. Schlupp Cambiasso Drinkwater James Mahrez Albrighton Ulloa
This has become a massive must win game for us because we really need to watch that teams don´t start to brake away. I´d have to say KS has been some what `not with it`in recent weeks so maybe Hamer should get a chance, but as said, can´t see NP doing it.
Anyone else think our form has dropped since Hammond has been out of the team? Coincidence, or...? Anyway: Hamer Simpson -- Moore -- Upson -- Schlupp Cambiasso -- James Mahrez -- Vardy -- Albrighton Ulloa Although the team will never be that in a million years...
We have created a bit more since switching back to 442 so I'd go with; Kasper RDL - Moore - Was - Schlupp Albrighton - James - Cambisasso - Mahrez Vardy - Ulloa
Team needs a shake up, but perennial starters De Laet, Konchesky and Schmeichel will all start despite serious loss of form (can't quite believe I'm suggesting Schmeichel's removal!). Morgan's suspension is a blessing in disguise (sort of), but haven't really got any choice other than to play Moore and Wasilewski if Upson isn't fit. At least one new centre half is needed in January, maybe we should do a QPR and sign someone stupidly overpriced like Chris Samba. Hamer Simpson- Moore - Wasilewski - Schlupp Albrighton - James - Cambiasso - Mahrez Knockaert Ulloa Possibly a little mean to be pushing Schlupp back, but Mahrez put in more decent crosses from wide left than Schlupp did all game when pushed up there for the last 15. We need wingers to supply the crosses to Ulloa, and Albrighton's impressed me with his brief cameos so far, so I think he's worth a shot, especially as he's our only right winger. People are going to mock me here, but I miss Dyer. He'd have really put a shift in against the teams we've been playing recently, and was always a great option from the bench because of his pace. Vardy will have to do as a different option. Would like to see Powell on the bench too.
Absolutely agree that Hammond has been a big loss. He's been our only true holding midfielder who can break up attacks. De Laet had a good game on Tuesday and he and Schlupp should be able to counteract Agbonlahor's pace. I think we have to go 5 across midfield with 2 defensive minded ones protecting the middle of the back. Trouble is with Hammond out I don't know who fits the bill. We are just so open and getting overrun with only 4 in midfield and are conceding too many goals. Having 5 in midfield doesn't have to be negative as Chelsea and Man City have proven. How about: ................................................................Hamer.................................................. ...............De Laet.........................Wasilewski......Moore..............................Schlupp ..........................................Drinkwater........................Cambiasso.......................... .............Mahrez/Albrighton....................James.......................................Knockaert ...........................................................Ulloa......................................................
Vardy has lived off the Man U game for too long now. Albrighton will go there with a point to prove and his crossing ability with Ulloa up top could make the difference
....................Kasper Simpson.....Moore....Wasy......Konch .........Canbiasso.....James Albrighton......Mahrez.....Schlupp ......................Ulloa
Anyone know how long Hammond's out for? He and Cambiasso has to be our best partnership in the middle of the park, bizarrely, though I really hope Drinkwater picks up some form soon. If we can get him back to form he'd be a great player to have in an advanced position (not defensively astute enough for me to play deep).
I thought Hammond was potentially fit for tomorrow's game. Agreed it would be good to see Drinky getting back to form. It took him a while but ended up with a great understanding with James last season, but they haven't had a run out together this time round. When you take Hammond out of the equation what players do we have who can play defensive midfield?
We were all thinking that Cambiasso would be the defensive midfielder, but he's actually more useful as an attacking threat, maybe because he's the only one on the team who can actually pass the ball. Did Drinkwater play against Manchester United? I honestly can't remember, but I remember both Hammond and Cambiasso having great games there. Admittedly, James has been decent recently too. Drinkwater will have to fight for his place back.

BRAKING NEWS.....or maybe not ? NP to receive funds in Jan to strengthen the squad in a bid to avoid relegation.
Best of luck today lads. From a purely selfish point of view I'd like to see a draw but I feel a fellowship with you and Burnley this year. I want to see the three of us do the business. Tough match but if you can keep Benteke out the game, you've got a decent chance. Go Foxes!
