Yep, not saying he's the finished article but he is a talented youngster. Would obviously prefer a more established player like Fabien Scharr - 22 and plays for Basel. Very talented, good experience and contract is expiring so should be on the cheap.

And I'd still have Ilori over Lovren and Skrtel because:

    - He has great recovery pace
    - He is used to playing a high line defence
    - Possess intelligence and good at covering

Skrtel is simply not suited to the back line, and Lovren is just sh*t. So whilst Ilori would be a gamble, he at least fits into the style.

he's been injured twice and is prob now worth 2p.

Scharr is just another fad. just turned up in papers recently.

Ilori looked god awful in our 21s and then went on loan. he made a couple passes for granada then was oooho look at this and suddenly injured. He's done NOTHING.

Skertl should be dropped for toure as toure has the character and experience to make a go of it. there is zero was ilori should even be talked of!

You'd be surprised mate, Ilori has a lot of potential.

Scharr has only just popped up in the papers but he's been very good for a while. As a cheap, RCB, I would definitely take the punt on him.

And I agree - right now, Toure should definitely be in the defence. Problem is, he is actually a leader, vocal and a good defender so Rodgers won't pick him.

Maybe he does but to translate some potential into being good enough is a big deal.

He did look very bad in those couple of games for our u21s and he's gone ad played a couple games in two loans and got two injuries. he simply cannot be compated to a player like varana on that basis... niether can he displace skertl or lovern.. especially when we've player like wisdom out on a second highly successful loan not being mentioned and even more toure who's gotten 2 games total this year and played better than he did last year in both.

ilori might have potential but thats not what we need. examples... courtois took 4 years on loan to get a game at chelsea... huge potential at start and building all the time. lukaku got how many loans? Bertrand is on god knows how many loans... again looking ok.

Yep, using Ilori was more of a joke on how poor Skrtel and Lovren are. Having said that I'll still have him over them.

And the comparison with Varane is more on playing style rather than current ability. <ok>

Toure and Sakho is the partnership we should be playing until we get a proper RCB.

    Our younger players:

Ilori was on the bench for Bordeaux this weekend as they played lille.
Origi played for Lille but got taken off.... lille lost 1-0 as well. has played 12 in league and scored 3....
Ibe: Derby lost 2-0 away to leeds... he was taken off after 66mins. he's played 14 games and scored 4 goals so far.
Wisdom: west brom loast 1-0 to arsenal. wisdom played the full 90.
Teixteria: Brighton lost 2-1 to Fulham. Teix did not appear. He's played 13 and scored 2 this season
Alberto: Malaga lost 2-1 to real madrid. Luis was an unused sub. he has played 6 times and scored 1.

Our problems we can't get shut of loans!
Assaidi: has a whole 5 games this season for stoke. obviosuly didn't play this weeked.
Coates: Has not got a sniff of action at sunderland... most pointless loan ever???
Aspas: Seville beat granada 5-1. aspas was an unused sub. he's played 4 league games for Seville.

Yeah. I posted it last night in The Arms because I couldn't be arsed digging this thread out. Nobody noticed, because they were too busy playing at estate agents or something.
Bring him back I say, it was obviously a big mistake to let him go. <whistle>

Anyone bother to take note of who they played? No?

    Ah well

For the record he's played Europa and copa del rey this year and is bench for real games. Barca were on sky last night playing what I can only call a reserve side too...

In short yes better than badontelly but that's like saying a fishie smelling **** is better than a blue waffle??

FFs can't we have some nice clean Brazilian ****?

still don't mean anything to me, robbie done his hatrick wearing a liverpool shirt, aspas is a liverpool player, but on loan, in a dif country as well.

be a bit sad if this technically takes robbies record, as he was playing elsewhere, not really done wearing the shirt.

I know it's a forlorn hope, but if you actually read the things being referred to you wouldn't have to keep asking....
