Reports in Italy are linking 2 of our relegation rivals with the striker. I think he'd be a good signing and if he's available on loan he'd be a great back up for Jelly who simply cant play every game. He's a very "English" style centre forward / targetman who scores too.

He's probably most famous here for being the first player to score a hat-trick at New Wembley against the U21s.

I remember him being touted as the next big thing out of Italy 5 or 6 years ago.

It seems he's not quite filed his potential.

He's a decent larker from what I've seen. Would certainly have a look.

He's moved around a bit, playing for both Milan clubs, but he always gets goals. He's not that mobile but really puts a stint in, he's not one of these "oooo, it's cold and I might get my hair wet" types. He'd be good in a relegation scrap. Plus Milan want him out and his missus has been moaning on twitter about him not playing. He on the other hand is nothing but a consummate pro, even Inzaghi says he hasnt moaned once about not playing and tries harder than anyone in training.

    Similar to Jela then?

I'm always reluctant to sign someone from a abroad in January in the middle of a relegation scrap.

Yeah, that's why I said he'd be good as a back-up cos I think every single one of us on here thinks that if Jela gets an injury that keeps him out for 3 months then we're relegated. Simple as.

Not to lead the line, not in a million years. If we have to rely on him as the main focal point of the attack then we're ****ed. He's always played as the second striker or out wide, it would be like asking Robbie Brady or Sone Aluko to be our main forward. They just cant do it.

Hernandez has not had a fair crack at it yet, with Jelly being out and 2 international breaks as well has his leave to return to Uruguay to be at the birth of his child and then come back. Once him and Jelly get a game or two under their belt together, I am sure he will start to find the net.

He's only played 8 games so far and he's new to the Premier League, so it's really too early to judge.

    But I'm going to anyway.

    No. <laugh>

Yeah, there's never been any tough Italian players who put their body on the line. I mean, that Gentile, Gattuso, Pasquale Bruno and Baresi were right f**ing wimps. And I suppose if Andrea Pirlo suddenly said he was desperate to end his career in Hull we'd knock him back.
