After nabbing 2 extra points sat ( we're owed some after Forest/ Blackburn so I couldn't care less ) we're in a lofty second. My nose isn't just bleeding, I feel a hemmerage ( spelling!!! ) coming on/ vertigo.

Win this, and potentially we can go top............. jesus!

Leeds look an interesting proposition. Must be some off the field issues with Celino, however Redfearn appears to be doing a good job. Lovely 2-0 win vs Derby Saturday! They do appear to have travel sickness, whereas we're very strong at home. Leeds will be backed by a big away attendance, and we've sold more than usual at this point despite it being Cat A so hopefully should be a good atmosphere.

Bishop should be back for this one, however N.Hunt won't be able to play.

    Thoughts?

Last year, this would've been a classic Town slip up - after winning some cracking games, when we possibly were't expecting to, we would normal fall short against games we are "expected" to win.
I know we always have tough games against Leeds, and i don't think this will be any different. Leeds will be on a high after beating Derby, so i'm going to plum for a 2-2draw and keep the unbeaten run going.
As much as this season has gone unbelievably well, i'm still waiting for everything to blow up in our faces - but saying that, if we can get a few more wins before the end of the year, then there could be a nice gap to 7th place.

If we can get through the busy Christmas period still in the top 6. Then I have the utmost confidence we will stay there.

Anything can happen though, a few poor results and losses could see us slip down that table!

I didn't realise the players received a bonus when we are in the top 6, doesn't happen on my football manager 2008 save ;) So that does negate some of the extra gate revenue for us being higher. Interesting.

    Awkward game though!

I think we will be ok on Saturday, as has been pointed out Leeds are not getting too many results away, we should have Bishop back and Berra will slot back in at CB, are Hyam or Bru likely to make it?

Quite fancy 3 points but it won't be easy. After all, Derby couldn't do it. They're physically strong so I'd not be surprised to see Sammon starting because, although he's not a goalscorer, he is pretty good at annoying & bustling around the defence. Not a lot else, mind you. Definitely not a nailed-on result for us.

If we bring our best game to the table then a home win is more than possible.

Leeds have had a better run of late but arent good enough to keep winning games consistently.

Welcome to the board 78 and welcome back Jimbob.
I've been saying it for a while now, I'm not worried about any team in this league at the moment.
It will be another hard game but I'm confident of three points...again
2-0 the score with Murphy adding to his tally and Sammon scoring too.

Who would you drop to fit Sammon in?

Welcome (back) new faces! I certainly wouldn't upset the McG and Murph partnership. Tricky one this. Score first then we'll be good for 3 pts. Nice to have Berra back. My guess is Bish back plus Hyam...former for his flair and support for front 2, latter for his strength and experience. Just dont get me started on Skuse...!

Personally I wouldn't drop anyone, but I'm talking about the way MM thinks. I hope he doesn't - a quick two goal lead would be better.

I honestly thought Skuse put in a good show second half at Charlton. He floundered a bit at Bournemouth, but again was better than Hyam that day. Tabb was v good v Watford so may feel a little hard done by!

I did just look whether Skuse played in our 3 defeats, 90 minutes in all 3.....

I'm unlikely to see any of our game v Leeds as I'm playing Saturday however would be interested how everyone performs.

    If

Agree with the 2nd half v Charlton I too thought Skuse was decent.

We did have 6 other players who played in those 3 defeats, they all played 90mins apart from Didsy who came off after 69mins at Reading, so I am not sure that there is any relevance there as 7 players took part in almost all of those 3 games!

Shame you are going to miss Saturday, I think it will be a cracker!

I don't think any games involving us this season are likely to be a cracker to be honest!!

Planning on going to Bolton away though.

we know we will get hard work and commitment. If that lasts for the whole 90 minutes then we should be fine. If we go back to switching off/ tightening unsuccessfully after 70 minutes then I would have a few more concerns.

Hmm, from memory Fulham was decent & the Forest game was not bad at all pretty end to end.!
