We need a run of great results now as confidence must be higher after beating top of the league. We have some talent but at times we seem brittle, but just maybe we grew up a bit and the kids from home and abroad finally realised they have some class, and can battle too. Fingers crossed
Morning all. Even more important possibly than the three points and clean sheet was the performance. That level of performance won't happen every week but now we know we have a good team and what they're capable of. With good reason, some were wondering if a lot of the lads were up to the job but they clearly are. And three midfielders 20 years old and younger. Such a change from previous seasons. Lots of tough games to come and hopefully more performances like Saturday

Morning Eire, we won the ball back regularly. That was so good to see. As the game wore on, Doukara lost possession of the ball more and more. That could have cost us.
I've said all season that the team is better without Pearce. Warnock is having a great run of performances but didn't that happen with Bruce and co who were playing for a new contract, and then slacked off once they got it. I may be doing Warnock a disservice but something's fired him up, and if he gets a new contract I hope he keeps it up
Morning all Only thing I saw / heard of the game at the weekend was the paltry offering on the Football League Show, but feedback I've read seems to suggest we were very good value for the win and played with a lot of confidence against what is obviously a very strong Derby side. As for the suggestion that we might be in for Darren O'Dea in January elland, that has to be someones idea of a sick joke! We've been shaky at the back, but its a long way off being a problem he can solve!! Also, how typical was it that Hunt comes off the bench for Ipswich and scores the winner within minutes!
Good morning Matt and his merrymen from a wet yes wet Cote de Bardsey I have wriitten quite a lot after Sat game I felt that the young boys Adryan Cook and Mowatt stepped up to the plate a became men I think that 29 nov was the day the ship stabilized after 10 years adrift and his now heading north Cooper as you all know reminds me of Madeley so the premiership beckons him lets hope he stays with us but we have struck gold with him Silvestri still looks a bit unsure but this result will have given him confidence Warnock has been a revilation this season and well deserves to be captain I bwas plkeased for Hunt in the 8 minutes he was on the pitch 2 were spent getting treatment and another shirt but loike a good trooper he overcame these difficulties and scored the winner lets hope they keep him now for unfortunately it doesnt work for him at ER

Mike you may be pleased for Hunt, but I thought it was obvious why he would never score for us, after watching him play on Saturday. Ipswich had 4 players in the opposition box, but Hunt was miles behind them trying to catch up with play. He should have been in front of them bursting a gut to get into the box. The ball fell to him outside the box and his lazy scuffed shot crept in, and was probably a pass anyway. Centre forwards should be in the box, not dawdling trying to catch up with play.
Unfair comment on Hunt, he made his run from his own half from a defending position and struck his shot into the far corner. Just because it did not work out for him at Leeds does not mean he cant play still.
Morning all, Yes, was a good win. And no, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves, but it just makes you wonder why we havent been getting results in consistently. I've always said that this is an easier division to get out of than scrappy League One and a team that can get a decent run going can make the playoffs. Its getting the mentality to pull it off as we have seen time and time again.. ala Blackpool, Burnley and Reading in recent times. I still dont think it will be us, but still we are only 8 points off 6th spot with more than half the season to go. SO you never know. What worries me, and I think it might have been touched upon above, is that our core of young midfielders wont last the season and we may be very much prone to that awful after xmas slump that we have never been able to shake. For once we may have found an owner that is willing to invest in January to keep us going in the second half of the season, but he might not be allowed to with a potential January transfer ban! FFS! Anyway, hopefully we've proved with that performance on Saturday that we shouldnt be worried about relegation
Warnock was one of the few who did okay last season and this season he has performed consistantly well. Cellino been banned from owning Leeds....
Well that's certainly going to make the next couple of months 'interesting'. Nothing straight forward about supporting this club
There will be loads of; what if, rumours and heated debates I dare say in the coming weeks. If Cellino hasn't a plan B in place then I would be amazed.
