Pleased to see you attempting to cover up the evidence with some northern humour and bravado. Thanks for the banter lads View attachment 34292 Exhibit A A penalty all day long and then some
Question 1. Where's the lines for the box? Question 2. Why is there only Rodwell in the background in the background? Question 3. Isn't this the tackle where Costa kicked out at him?
The lack of oxygen in the air at the top of that ivory tower is clearly having an effect on you. If what you are accusing me of is true, then you having a go at me for it is exactly the same thing. As soon as you and your fans can generate an atmosphere, then you might have a leg to stand on when lecturing others for the atmosphere that they have generated. It was a football match not tennis or snooker. Pious eejit.
That the Daily Fail article? Anyone who writes for the fail is a joke in the world imo The fact people read it and take it seriously is comical
So Graham Poll's opinion is invalid because it is published in the Mail, but if it published in the Mackem Moan it would be more valid?
Well in that case Costa should have been sent off twice and suspended for 6 games, while we are awarded two penalties kicks.
Right, you said and I quote 'A penalty all day long and then some'...yet this was the tackle Costa kicked out... Which if I, the BBC, Sky, The Times, Every other fan in the stadium and watching the match could see was on the half-way line... so it is definitely not this tackle SO! the question I have for you is! Why can nobody else from the Chelsea board, nor any SAFC fan recall this incident you are on about? And why are you yet to show any proof of it?
The unbridled Joy which Mackems find in a 0-0 draw at home, is wondrous to behold. One can only conjecture what other exciting pastimes they get up to on Wearside - collecting milk bottle tops, perhaps, or waiting with baited breath to jot down the number of the 11.30 to Kings Cross. Anyways, not complaining about a point, Sunderland did not deserve to lose, and we certainly did not do enough to win. Refs are always going to make mistakes, and in fairness, he was equally poor for both sides. Costa's studs up in O'Shea's face looks bad, but he - just - got away with it, and it was - just - probably the right decision, there was no kick out or momentum. The 'elbow' was nothing of the sort, and even Brown admits it. Onwards and upwards, bring on the spuds. Let normal service be resumed.
That's where Poll loses any credibility, for a start it was Wes Brown that was unlucky with Costa's trailing arm, it smacked him in the mouth. Reckless play = Yellow Dangerous play = Red Costa was at least guilty of reckless play on both occasions, so if the kick at O'Shea's head was not considered dangerous , it was reckless which equates to two yellows
It's all about opinions but I thought he was unlucky with the yellow he got but perhaps lucky with the one he didn't. He just hit Brown with a trailing arm whilst making an honest attempt to win the ball, a lot more honest than some of the grappling going on in Sunderland's penalty box at corners for instance. Was it reckless? Not in my eyes but I think Costa had been involved in a few skirmishes and the ref had had enough.
Because that's a still shot of O'Shea's foul on Costa where he retaliated on the halfway line. He's dug himself the biggest hole ever by thinking that incident happened in the box. Embarrassing for the lad.
Cause he's clutching for his life after making himself look ridiculously stupid. I don't even think he saw the game. Probably fooled by the Match of the day editing. Thick ****.
It's funny that the corner which led to this penalty claim also came not too long after one of the 3 completely unpunished fouls on Sunderland players in the middle of the field - one where Fabregas turned to the referee and apologised but the ref didn't give it. Now I'm not saying that if they had been given that corner may never have come about but you never know. If he doesn't give them to us in the midfield, why should he give them to you in the box? How many times has John Terry grabbed someone's shirt in the box? If you say "never" then you're blind and biased. They all do it and I saw Terry do it on Saturday as well. As for Graham Poll's opinion - how many of them did he let go in his refereeing days? He probably never gave a top flight penalty for a shirt tug or a hold in the box so it's a tad hypocritical
****ing hell they've chainged the rules - they give penalties to chelsea for a foul on the touchline now!!!
