Sorry, I know you like to have a go at me re. Cork but actually I haven't been bigging him up this year. The only time I really thought he should have come on was against Spurs when we were 1-0 down. But to say that we didn't miss him is far more blinkered against him than you seem think I am for him. In the corresponding fixture last year he was brilliant and our midfield totally dominated Man City's. There were times today when we had two distinct lines, front and back with nothing in the middle. Anyway, that was't really the point of my post. I was lamenting the lack of crosses into the box and the amount of times we gave it away trying to get the perfect position.
We've got two Academy graduates out injured (Gallagher and JWP) and 3 left in the summer (Lallana, Shaw and Chambers) so it's not really a surprise that there is a bit of a gap now without Academy starters. Give it a season or two and there will be more of them again.
Just got in from the match and I'm surprisingly chilled. Unfortunately today, the champions decided to play like champions. They were better than us all over the park. Aguero is quite possibly the best player anywhere right now; at times he was unplayable. Three nil was a little harsh as we wouldn't have been quite so gung ho if they weren't down to 10 men, but City deserved to win that. Hope Morgan is ok and bring in the Gooners. We're third in the league and things aren't all that bad.
Spot on Fats. As I said earlier, we needed to be at our best to get anything there and we weren't. Unfortunately they were (or at least not a million miles off).

Did they? I went to the game so didn't hear that. City just played how they should have played all season given how much money they have spent. We could have played better yes, but I still feel 3-0 was harsh.
Aguero on his own is worth a fortune. He was class today against two defenders that seemed to Marshall him quite well until he had a quick turn with the outside of his boot or change of direction. Awesome display. Unfortunately.
Not sure to be honest. I've wanted to see Vic, Morgan and Jack together all season so one of the others!
