Holy s**t that was amazing, absolutely incredible performance. So many players were excellent, just looking at Reveillere for example he might not have been especially eye catching but everything he did was spot on for the full match. I don't think he misplaced a pass or got tackled once. If we're not going to play scintillating football then we need to be hard to beat and we were certainly that. No doubt some will say Chelsea had an off day and maybe they did, but only because we gave them no option other than to have an off day.
Just what we needed. Some great performances. Lee Cattermole just showed every English centre midfielder how to play the defensive midfield role. If there is anyone better at that role who is English I have not seen them yet. I was very impressed with Pants in goal today too, he never really looked under pressure.
if connor played that well every game he'd have less doubters and the club might increase there offer. Cannot fault a single player today.
Cattermole not getting selected for England is getting to be a scandal of similar proportions to Kev Phillips not getting enough opportunities.
Santiago was sensational! Wickham good again and AJ 90min performance to be applauded. Seb, Rev, OShea continue their top form. Thought Rodwell did well but still seems to jog through games, I'd like more urgency. Jozy proved me wrong and was more effective than Fletch, although the game was stretched when he was on. Not unreasonable to say HE stretched it though!

Tell you what that was some performance. After Southampton people were saying ridiculous things like Guy had lost the dressing room. I think tonight has put paid to that one. Overall it's about confidence as I said after the 8-0. And recent results have bred confidence. I heard on the radio today that if you took the 8 goals out of the equation we have the best defensive record in the league. Something to reflect on for the naysayers. We are improving slowly but surely
