Marshall Brayford Turner Morrison Connolly Pilks Gunnar Whitts Noone Le Fondre Jones Sticking with the usual set up then
Watford are going to play a 3-5-2 so there could be more space out wide for Noone and Pilks - if they bloody stay out there and are not having to come in to defend against that 5 man midfield. The problem with playing three centre backs is there can be confusion over which two pick up the two strikers. Could be chances for Le Fondre (again!!) this afternoon.
That looks like a real United Nations side that Watford have put out - is Troy Deeney their only UK player out there?
Good first half display from City. Watford look very dangerous when the get up the park with Deeney, Vydra and Anya out wide, but we're defending like a team should. Pilks is playing a blinder up and down the right hand side. He's doubling up with Connolly to restrain Anya, and when he's gone up front he's been in on the half chance. When we get the ball forward to Jones, Watford have big problems - it just needs the flick on to drop in the right place.
I don't see Noone having a very good game up till now. We're defending pretty well but Noone looks out of it at this sort of game.
Same here. Mustn't grumble though. Away win and clean sheet. Best not mention possession stats and Marshie's miracles.
Noone played better after I'd made that comment above. Even put himself about across their back 3 chasing down. Feel for Pilks though - that hamstring pull looked bad and he will be missed.
Marshall made some important saves early in the game. We were lucky to keep a clean sheet but yay for us.
