Mate, that's horrible for you and the wife, you've actually got me in tears. but clearly the right decision. i agree with your other sentiments.
Medical science provides so many good things but for Quenton's situation there is no answer but the one he and his lady had to take. We should all take heart from the situation he described and the agonies he feels as a result of his decision as for me they demonstrate how human nature suffers above medical and moral issues. I thank God (or whoever) that my kids were conceived and born in the time before abortions became legalised as the devastation of a child born with problems is a possible life sentence for all. In all sincerity Quenton thanks for that post.
Sorry to hear this mate, it's such a difficult thing. We had twins 4 years ago and at nearly full term my girl was delivered in good nick but my son was still born, having been fine a few days earlier and nothing apparently wrong with him. Such a weird sad feeling for a long time, feeling guilty whilst grieving as should be happy with my daughter and doing best for her, but feeling guilty while happy as should be grieving for my son. I'll never forget holding him and still frequently think what might have been and if we should have asked for a caesarean sooner. We have another son now but like you, I'm sure, will always remember that beautiful wee face. Am sat in tears now guys.
