I agree but if he's playing well then surely Rodgers should realise his mistake and start playing him.
doubtful, he let the reina situation get worst sadly, he has let agger go and not really replaced it with better(in my opinion anyway lol), suso will be next.
I'm not buying this lack of confidence thing any more. There is something seriously wrong inside our squad that goes beyond confidence.
I agree Dave. I think BR maybe doesn't like being challenged. I've always felt about BR's appointment like I did when we got Roy - the job's too big for them. Neither had ever managed big name players before, for example - Rodgers has the excuse that he's very new to management, Roy had lots of experience but just managed teams with no big names. I think Rodgers may come good but 'experimenting' on a big club like Liverpool and thus using us to gain his experience was always going to be risky for him and the club.
I do agree. 1. I can see a distinct lack of fitness. our lads are not last 90 and look weak kneed 2. A lack of trust is clearly in evidence... are you pressing... no well i won't then.. why should i... etc etc 3. total lack of physicality.. too many short arses. 4. clear favoritism for crap old players means young guns aint pushed and are prob thinking of thier next move reality is "we go again" bollocks only works when theres a big prize people all wnat. half the squad at minimum are thinking about moving. it shows.
If Rodgers goes, chances are any new manager coming in won't have his philosophy [is it his or his and FSG's, I'm confused] what then for all the young 'potentials' - isn't that what the reserves are anyway, our potentials.
I think that any new manager inherits a good squad and would only need 2 signings to make a difference, a striker and a center back. That's will be up for debate though and I'm sure some will disagree.
Top of my list would be a goalkeeper - get that one position right and it would make a significant difference. I said a while ago that back in the day the thinking was every great team had a great goalie and a great centre forward, we don't have either.
I'm of the opinion that if we protected Mingo better he would improve, I would want to replace him but wouldn't want to go there first if there wasn't a lot of money and the striker situation needs money. So for example if I was the new manager I would want........... -----------------Mingo----------------- Manquillo-Hummels-Lovren-Moreno ------------Lucas--Can---------------- Sterling-------Coutinho-------Lallana ----------------Aguero----------------- To me the team is fine we have an organiser at the back and a goal scorer up top, as time goes by of course we look to imrove further.
It's crazy when you think of the ones we've had and let go - in fantasy world put the best of them together now and we'd be a force
That's very harsh IMO. He was stretching and managed to get something on it. The player that gather the loose ball was over thirty yards out at the time, we should have regrouped by the time he was looking to shoot. When the guy did shoot, Toure was the nearest despite having to get back up off the floor too!
When we had the cameras in for Being Liverpool filming, Brod pointing Lucas out as a role model to the other players
He wouldn't be the only one Yeah, can't argue with that. It was a shocker Five signing IMO. Those four you said and a defensive coach
But he didn't need to stretch. He could have stood still and controlled he ball but he stretched out and just toe poked it to him. You're had so much time to get hold of it. Could also blame Skrtel for not following in... Again! Similar to palace where he stood and watched the ball off the post, forwards anticipated the dodgy bounce and fumble, the CB didn't.
