Not his biggest weakness, just one of them I said, lord knows he has plenty unfortunately. In the Championship sure, he had a great season. But even in that campaign he probably could have had 30 or 40 assists if he'd just release the bloody ball sooner. No one can question his ability, just the application of it, which includes attitude and decision making. You must've seen as well as I have the amount of times his team mates throw their hands up in the air when he takes on that extra player and loses it rather than passing to them when they're in a great position. Or when he shoots from 30 yards instead of playing someone in on goal with a simple 5 yard pass. I genuinely don't think forwards enjoy playing with him because of this, nowhere near as much as they should anyway, given his ability.
Ok mate. This debate has been done to death eh? I just prefer to watch someone who is frustrating but entertaining than a player who is just boring and has limited talent.
Jesus H bloody christ. Another thread that's turned into a Taarabt one. I make this the 3,453rd one............ this month!!! Let me have a quick flick back to see who first mentioned him. ..... ......... ......... Right, I've found the perp. It's this bloke.............................
Q(PR)uantum Leap, episode 44. COL, Damage, Bob and Ozzie mull over QPR's November 2014 team in their parallel dimension: COL: "I think Kranjcar could link up well with Mutch down the middle" Damage: "Me too but I think we should give Bobby a run in there" COL: "Bobby Zamora?" Damage: "No, Charlton. He's got great legs" COL: "Knocking on a bit though inne? Greavesie would give us more width" Damage: "Fink you're right. Greaves playing off Austin with Mutch tucking in behind" COL: "What about that new foreign lad"? Ozzie: "ULRIKAKAKAKA" Damage: "The boy Bobby Hazel? Yeah, could slip him in beside Dunne" COL: "Na, prefer Rio. More experience. England legend" Damage:"What about Taarabt?" COL: "Who? Never heard of him" Bob: ......remains silent......
Team for Saturday? Surely it is an irrelevance as to who you would select personally, otherwise the title should be "Who would you pick for Saturday"? The team for Saturday must be what you feel that HR will send on to the pitch. The fact that you think (maybe) he has got it wrong has no bearing. On that basis I'm convinced that Rio will one of his first nanes on the team list. Even more certain is that Taarabt will not be in that team. You can moan as much as you want but it won't make any difference. I'm sorry Col, but there is more chance of SWP, Donaldson & Murphy ALL starting than Adel playing for us in the premier with HR in charge.
Bloody hell!! I didn't bring him up until I commented on Oslo's team!! I didn't have him in my team. Christ on a bike!!!
Sorry Col That wasn't meant to be having a go personally! Just that I know how much you would love to see him playing again & that I don't think it will ever happen with our current manager! I would like to see though what side posters think he will pick rather than what they would choose. I gave two possibilities on the first page but expect it is more likely that he will go closer to the 4-4-2 team than the 3-5-2. Hopefully, come half time on Saturday we will be praising how the starting eleven have performed!
Hopefully we will mate. I fear Harry will play this: -----------------------------Green-------------------------- Isla----------------Ferdinand-----------Caulker-----------Yun Vargas-------------Barton---------Henry-----------------Fer --------------------Austin--------OBZ-----------------------
100% what I expect col. Let's hope that the two Chilians are on form & the only other "creativity" will be OBZ winning headers!
You are no doubt right mate but Harry teams are generally cautious and boring and predicting what he'll do don't excite either. When he can play Traore wide right and Vargas anywhere to give him a start, it's a lottery. Our Support's choices are far more interesting and usually make far more sense. Harry gets his go Saturday, unfortunately - one big reason we are bottom of the League.
Ok Im back as the fat one has been dispatched Ossie, after watching the pre match presser im not convinced that Rio will start. Esp as we've been doing so well without him. Surely it would be suicide to put him in and lose to a mistake he makes? Only change has to be Sandro's replacement surely?
I would prefer Ned to Rio myself as Dunne's replacement, as I think we may need his speed, but I guess Harry will go with Rio. I watched our game with Man City again last night - IF we can play like that again with really good energy about us, we ought to win, so the same team as Man C then, but with the necessary replacements for Dunne and Sandro (Barton as 2nd half City). Adel still ain't fit according to Harry, but Niko is I think, and is probably a better bet to unlock Leicester's defense than Fer, though I see we'd lose some zip with that change.
You did state "only change needs to be Sandro's replacement surely"! I make Dunne more than one change. Isla & Vargas starting would make two changes immediately! Good luck with thinking that Ned is likely to start rather than RIO!
Possibly the most feeble reply i have ever read........Surely putting Rio in is more than moving Ned across,..... Just admit your mistake and move on...we all know anyway...
