But I gather from your earlier post, you don't think Nico would pass to Adel............."don't be daft".

It is tempting to move to 3-5-2 (and include Rio) but I would play 4-4-2 as it is tried and tested. However I would drop Fer from the start and go for:

    -----------------Green------------
    -Isla--- Onouha--- Caulker---- Yun
    ---Vargas-- Barton---Henry---Hoillet
    ----------Austin---- Zamora--------

This way we have "more pace" and hopefully can create "more danger".
An alternative is to play Niko on that left midfield with the objective of "more creativity".

I would use Fer as substitute for hopefully when we are comfortably leading.

I didn't say that at all. I said I wouldn't play the two of them in the same team, when we are 2 points adrift at the bottom of the league.
They are too similar imo and would leave too many holes defensively. If we were mid-table, then maybe they could play together at home at least.

OH GOD..the Adel worshippers are still going on....<doh> Why, what is your reasoning. you havent seen him for 3 years so how do yu know what he can do? FFS

    Anyway.
No Kranky in the start and FFs dont ever say Hill again
    Pos Traore for Hoillet.
Rest of the team picks itself doesnt it?

    Green
    Isla - Ned - Caulker - Yun

    Vargas - Henry - Barton - Traore

    Austin - OBZ

Subs: Kranky, Fer, Hoillet, Keeper and Adel (purely to raise his value for sale in Jan window)

Poss Fer for Barton if we are going to attack.

EDIT SWP has achieved more and delivered more than the fat Marrocan. Maybe we should play him because he was good 3 years ago too..... <doh>

I don't think they are similar other than they are both weakest defensively. Nico's strengths are more with his passing to other's running into space, and his free kicks, Adel's in getting through defense himself. Think they would complement each other with Adel forward of Nico. We are sitting at the bottom of the table after playing even at our best against City with lots of agression but usually over midfield rather than through it. Normally we create very little. Time to step it up for me and we won't have better opportunitites than a home game against another relegation candidate. We wont be safe in midfield this season! Danger for me with both these 2 is lack of pace over 90 minutes but we can have pace on the Bench.

Yeh, nothing to bother about. What worries me is that we didn't do well against Leicester (or Burnley) last season. I got my only game at LR for the Leicester game, and saw us getting done at the back for pace right in front of me. I think we need to out play them this time, not just out muscle and run them.

Its getting increasingly surreal on here. What with Damage and yourself Ozzie, its like you're living in a parallel Universe. You keep talking about our current team selections and bringing up a player who's a total irrelevance.

Where have you been the last three years? Have you been in another dimension where this player has been playing for us all this time?

You're behaving like someone who's suffering from acute schizophrenia.

Im outta this one. i honestly cant stand the adorination and fawning over a cheat who has taken our club for a shed load of money.

I may be wrong but i think even Boswinga did more for us in the last 3 years than fatty? You can check appearences and stats if you like, i honestly cant be arsed.
Adel has shown his colours and himself for what he is over the past couple of seasons.
The greatest player that never was IMHO.

Dont care what he does now as he obviously cannot do anything in the prem

Get rid and take the 2 mill or what ever we can get for him. Wycombe bound i reckon <ok>

Jamie Mackie did more for us in the PL. Its astonishing considering how limited Mackie was. Little Andy Townsend did more in the couple of months he was on loan than Taarabt did in the two years he was in the squad.

Is there any mug of a Club out there that we can stitch up in January and lump him, his wages and his attitude onto them? Oh and Kia Joorabchian along with him?

Loftus Road, and all these surreal places where they manage to beam live pictures from LR, various other PL grounds, from Milan and various other Italian grounds. Don't you have this technology where you hang your hat mate?

However hard, sad and disappointing it is ......... I really think people need to move past the Adel coming back for yet another chance issue....... it's done and dusted.

He's blown his chance, thrown it away, stamped on it and all good feelings towards him.

He should just go away a.s.a.p

I hope you are not running anything too serious, like a Country mate. Telling "people" what they should think or not think is a very nasty habit of many a despot. it's just opinions.

I didn't exactly tell people what to think.......just that I think they really ought to look beyond Adel as an answer now.........

I was a fan and wanted him to be a star for us for years but realise he's doused his bridges in kerosene and lit them up happily several times too many.

There can't be any bridge builders left that can be arsed to start another hopeless project ;)

There's nothing daft about it at all. It's one of the reasons he's so frustrating to watch. Time and again there will be a perfect ball on but instead he'll try and beat another man, or try a cross field pass with the outside of his boot that goes wrong. He doesn't like playing the simple pass and never has unfortunately. For the record I'm a big fan of his, but I can also see his weaknesses and this, in my opinion, is one of them.

    Mmm............I disagree.

His biggest weakness is his attitude imo. The football side of things is the least of his worries.

His best season for us saw him attributed with something like 20 assists and 19 goals (something like that!). He'll pass it ok. However, his attitude may mean we never see him again anyway!
