Its good news. Tony to take a back seat and Bhatia to take the reigns again. He knew what he was doing first time round.

Tony's not cut out to be a football club Chairman. He's too like a fan.

 

Sounds like he's taking more of a back seat and delegating day to day running to others. To me that's a normal arrangement and probably a sensible move.

 

He's said it before, claims to leave running of the club to others and only be there for big decisions. We will tell if there is a change if Amit becomes the public face again, and the tweets stop.

 

Completely agree although a bit reluctant to admit to the last paragraph.

 

Maybe he's given up on the training ground and stadium which were his dreams?

 

Maybe he read a few posters thoughts on his interfering and took note.

Or he's destroying all his investments and has been given some sound advice, stick to what you know.

Either way, better off leaving it to those who care and have the time eh?

 

I'm not ungrateful about Tony or a hater but think this is great news if true!

We seemed to have a good spell on and off the pitch with Amit running the show.

 

He has only ever been a figurehead.

From that fragment posted by Nines I reckon he is trying to keep Air Asia shareholders happy (they are traded, unlike QPR), which he doesn't have to do with us.
Nothing going on here.

 

He may be thinking of going at the end of the season if we are relegated.
This will leave the club with huge debts and a football league fine on top.

This was published today on an airline site called Crikey. Make of it what you will:

"The founder of the AirAsia low cost carrier franchise and its group CEO, Tony Fernandes, has tweeted that he’s keen to start flying to London.

In fact AirAsia X stopped flying to London and Paris in 2012 after being unsuccessful on those routes, and the industry will be wondering what might have changed, other than the routes getting longer because of Middle East route deviations from optimal flight paths because of the war risks.

Fernandes is also keen to open Kuala Lumpur-Hawaii flights...."

 

Or worst case scenario, he may have secured a new air route to Thailand and the stewardesses will in fact be lady boys..
