I hate these Monday games...given me a chance for the 'old southampton' fan to come out and get nervous.

But what if we forget how to play together?

It'll be ok won't it?

I think we will be extremely motivated to continue our great form. We had a couple of games when we were unlucky not to score more (Stoke, Hull), so I think it's time for that to change. 4-0 Saints.

 

Villa without 3 cb's, no Delph or Benteke.

 

I know the main thing is the win, but I hope Pelle scores. He has certainly contributed to our wins, but strikers always judge themselves on goals. He once said that he worried if he didn't score in 3 games...we don't want him worried, do we?

We should win this going on form and injuries so I'll go for 3-1 Saints. Villa will equalise to make all the old Saints fans (like me) panic and start hiding behind cushions and pressing the mute in a frantic bid to stop it all going horribly wrong. Pelle will score.

 

Excited as always on away days - always been the same and it hasnt diminished as i have got older ! Cant wait to get finished early and hit the road to Brum this afternoon.

Hitting the mute doesn't work...you have to turn it off (although that also slows time down).

I'm nervous (so what's new)...the big difference is that I'm worried about losing our second spot rather than fearing relegation

A very sad day for all concerned BUT I am getting fed up with all this, "look what lovely, concerned chaps we all are" stuff.

When people feel the need to grieve or remember or whatever it is in public, be it tweeting or clapping at a football match, it says less about the thing being 'supported' and more about the people doing it.

Sorry. Maybe its just me. I'm sure some people will feel quite genuine and emotional about it.

 

Michael Owen thinks there won't be many goals tonight, because Villa can't score and Saints don't concede many. There's something missing in that thought process but I can't put my finger on it...

I know what you mean I'm nervous about dropping out of the top 4. Who'd of thought in the summer?
