Young Duo Join Tranmere Rovers On Loan Young Hull City duo Will Aimson and Calaum Jahraldo-Martin have joined League Two side Tranmere Rovers on loan. The pair, who have been regulars in the Tigersâ U21 side this season, will stay at Prenton Park until January 1st. Both players will be looking to gain some vital experience of senior football with Aimson (pictured above) a strong central defender who has been a part of the Tigersâ Academy since signing from Eastleigh two years ago. Jahraldo-Martin (pictured below) has recently returned from international duty with Antigua & Barbuda and joins Tranmere with the aim of getting some first team experience under his belt. The 21-year-old made his senior debut for the Tigers in last seasonâs Capital One Cup win against Leyton Orient and also came off the bench in the FA Cup 3rd Round win against Middlesbrough. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...vers-on-loan-2093760.aspx#k4vl3c5IHfiElMFq.99 Good move.
Bloody hell, talk about being chucked in at the deep end. Tranmere haven't won in the league since August and despite drawing 3 of their last 4 games, they currently sit in the bottom two. They should never have let Goodison go.
Has Max Clarks career stalled or could he be next? Is he still playing left back as we do have 1 or 2 or 5 (3 out on loan already)
Watched the u21s the other night. Clark played in front of the back four and was generally pretty tidy, decent range of passing. Was my pick of the bunch but given the quality of that side, I'm not sure that's saying a lot. Was also in the squad for a few of the first team pre season games
Good move for them both, hope they can get some good game time and do well. Mark Palios will be hoping they can help to improve Tranmere's position.
True but it will be good for the pair and Hull City. Let us see what they are made of. A proper test for sure. The reserve leagues are dire and need a root and branch overhaul.
Cue Tranmere fans getting excited by prospect of young starlets from higher divisions playing for them. A bit like us when we signed the likes of Chris Bettney and Jonathan Walters on loan.....
Walters was really good for us in his loan spell, it was once he signed permanently and had all of his personal issues that things went wrong.
Good move for both. Since the days of the likes Russell Fry, Scott Wiseman and Nathan Peat we have failed to give our youngsters proper experience by loaning them out. I can only only think of Will Atkinson who had proper loan spells.
Those are some good names... but I remember the "delight" when we signed Owen Morrison on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, and Michael Branch/Reddy from Wolves/Sunderland respectively on loan.
Or the days we looked to Bradford City for our big name loan signings in the lanky shape of Ian Ormondroyd
Bit harsh on the rest of the squad. The front two may not have covered themselves in glory, but Clark, whilst tidy, didn't particularly stand out, thought Matty Dixon probably edged him in midfield. With Aimson and Martin on loan and 2 or 3 more in the offing, it'll be interesting to see how City's youth set up copes.
Pedant here, but we got Big Sticks on loan from Leicester. But, every other player back then was a free from Bratfud, granted.
