In 5 gamesâ time⦠QPR will be out of the relegation zone A look at what's coming up for Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League. Before the season began, a look at QPRâs squad and summer signings suggested survival should be their minimum priority. A comfortable bottom-half or mid-table finish would have been more of a target â on paper, at least. The Râs horrific start to the Premier League season, however, would have forced many fans to re-assess their ambitions for the campaign. But things are looking up for Harry Redknappâs side over the coming weeks, with their recent form showing QPR can match the best in their division when they put the requisite work in. And the west London sideâs next five fixtures certainly present them with plenty of opportunity for points. First up are Newcastle away: a tricky fixture against an in-form side â but QPR ran Chelsea close at Stamford Bridge so anything is possible. After their trip to Tyneside, Redknappâs men take on Leicester City at home â and thatâs where the Râs really can take all three points. The same came be said for when Burnley visit a bouncing Loftus Road two games later. In between those two fixtures is a tough trip to Swansea â but QPRâs next away game after that is at Everton, where Swansea themselves showed that a resilient side can come away with a result. As for the longer term, the Râsâ form over their last six games would see them sit 17th, outside the relegation zone. And there is no reason that, if that kind of form maintains, Redknapp and his squad canât achieve survival this term. A terrible start may have rendered anything more somewhat unrealistic at the moment â but QPR should be out of the danger zone in five gamesâ time, with there being no excuses as to why they canât then stay there for the rest of the season. Next 5 games: Newcastle (A) Leicester (H) Swansea (A) Burnley (H)
Our next four sides already have a brilliant work ethic and a lot more skill than we have We have just acquired ours and have a massive task tomorrow IMO saying that against city we did show we can attack .... In football terms we were well beaten against Chelsea and City and naive against Liverpool ... The villa match saw us solid but it was a match between two struggling sides and villa had us on the ropes at times they just can't score ... This is how daft the English press spin these things with football results which I understand is all that matters If he drops Henry at the moment we are ****ed
Eactly... I think we should be looking for a min of 5 points from this and more like 7 with a bit of luck Leicester and Burnley are both beatable.. a draw away to either of the others would be nice. Think id be happy with 5/6 from 12 even though we need more "little steps lads......
15 points, no problem................................... I have just enjoyed our energy, desire and actual skill levels over the last few games. If we can maintain it then we will have no problems and points will come. I do not like Redknapp but something has clicked (probably not down to him) and for the first time for ages really looking forward to us playing at the mo....
I fancy us tomorrow and then points against Leicester and Burnley will (as the article says) take us out of the bottom three. Onwards and upwards!!!!
Next 4 ganes - Leicester and Burnley 3 pts each and if we can't we are in serious trouble. One up north even though are in form. And what from the Swans maybe another 1 . The prob with both the Geordies and the Swans is that both are away games and an almost result at Stamford Bridge notwithstanding, we struggle on the road 6 from the next 4, 8 if we are really on the stick
