Someone else who watched the US vs Ireland could probably comment to but I did not think that Meyler or Quinn did that well yesterday. I dont think either should start based off what I saw against what was basically the C team for the US.
Chester instead of Davies livermore out Brady & Robertson both start jobs a good un there's a reason im known as 'brady' cause I've loved the guy, still young. chester squashed Belgium n all
McGregor Rosenior - Chester - Dawson - Bobbert Hudd - Livermore Ben Arthur - Diame - Brady ---- Jelly
What's Elmo done to be dropped? I'd have him at Rb over rosie, if any of the crosses are overshot he gets forward enough to bung it back in. Or, play both in a 4-4-2. Other than that I agree with the players you've picked.
i'd rather use Rosie in a back 4 , and use Ben Albert on the right (albeit with finger n toes crossed )
I'd put Meyler back in for Huddlestone too should have added that, regardless of the international game. Interesting to see everybody pick Robertson regardless of two hard games in fairly close succession, maybe he is young enough to cope or Bruce can lighten his workload in training before the game
After Burnley: McGregor Rosenior Dawson Davies Robertson Elmo Diame Meyler Quinn Jelavic Hernandez Harper, Chester, Brady, Huddlestone, Livermore, Ramirez, Ben Arfa.
The thought of Meyler starting is giving me a wicked acid reflux. He should be nowhere near our starting eleven, he isn't anywhere near as good as Huddlestone or Livermore, even when the latter are having an off day.
http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...o-watch-the-tigers-take-on-spurs-2093075.aspx Look back through the archives and there was a time when the visit of Tottenham Hotspur to these parts could attract a crowd of nearly 50,000. Back in the days of Bly, Jensen, Ackerman and co, fans flocked to Boothferry Park to watch the Tigers take on Spurs in a FA Cup Fifth Round tie in February 1954. Approaching 47,000 were in the ground to see Jensen’s goal earn a replay against the first division side. On Sunday, it will be the modern-day cast of Elmohamady, Davies, Hernandez and co who look to beat Spurs when the two sides meet as equals in the Barclays Premier League at the KC Stadium. Will be interesting to see what starting 11 Brucey chooses for this. The Burnley fiasco was appalling and insulting to the eyes, and there's been some great performances by City players on International duty. Dawson, Jelly and McGregs could be back from injury etc. The big question is; Robertson or Brady (or both)? I, IMHO, want to drop to Huddlestone and Livermore for being missing since last Season, but something says to me that with the opposition being Spurs, it might be the kick up the arse they've needed. We should look better going forward with Jelly back.
Don't agree. Meyler has the heart of a lion and is the sort of player we need to battle out three points against Spurs.
Meyler didnt have a good game against the US either. No way would I start him over Huddlestone or Livermore.
----------Harper Rosie Chester Davies Robertson ----Livermore Quinn---------- Elmo-----Diame------Brady ------Hernandez------------ Livermore defensive, Quinn passing and playmaking, Diame there for magic - should make us a threat down the middle, AND importantly allow us a bit a possession. Rosie/Elmo and Rob/Brady combos on the wing, should allow plenty of good crosses to reach Hernandez's magical head.
