Considering we weren't interested in Diame until right before Deadline Day I'll call BS on this one. It seems the trend to quote a random rumour then say "Yeah they told me about X and Y players coming" without any actual proof that they did.
If you take over a business for free and it has £60m of debt, then it's cost you £60m. It's ability to generate revenue and meet any loan repayments is a secondary issue, there's still a £60m debt that could be called in and presumably would be at some point.
He bought the players for the city? Including the rugby fans, the ones who support other teams and those not interested in sport? If he walks away how could he get any money back from selling them as he wouldn't be involved? Tell any new owners they had bought the club but he wanted all the players selling and the money to go to him?
There was a football agent on Talksport on transfer deadline day. He said the Diame interest had started quite a few weeks earlier and that SB had spent a lot of time and effort in bringing him to Hull.
The Allam's would most likely want to see some security for that loan, if not there's no lay out, and if there is, the security only needs to be demonstrated rather than laid out doesn't it? The Allam's haven't pumped £100 million in, they've acted as guarantors in the event the club can't meet the installments.
If only I knew a single fact about Allam's plans and dealings. I could come on here and look really important. Alternatively I could just pretend I know like everyone else.
I said it was academic at the start. I was considering it in theory to see if the money chain works as I thought it did, which does seem to be the case.
