Spot on - there are some players who are such a talent that it is a genuine privilege to see them play. Bolton fans have been so fortunate to see him in his prime.
I could watch JJ for hours on end. Iv'e always wondered why he was never snapped up by the big clubs, a true footballing genius.
I wish he could release Aluko's Genie; the lad' s got it, but he's got to find a way of using it against class. Jay Jay does ground you on what talent really is.
Dont get me wrong i love to watch great skill but it was utterly meaningless. The chance to do his man and AB had snuffed him out, the rest was pointless and put Ash in the **** with his pass. Thats the reason big clubs didnt come in for him, HBA may go the same way.
I remember the game but didn't remember that moment and couldn't have even told you that Okocha played. Pedersen scored twice and Wayne Brown got his only City goal I think. Yeah it's fun to watch, but it was a stupid thing to do when he flicked it back past him again. Seemed like he was just out to make him look daft in revenge for him winning the first tackle. When I think of Okocha I mostly remember Wolves away even though I wasn't there, I just remember Burnsy and Swanny absolutely raving about his performance all game.
My favourite Okocha moment is either the inch perfect cross Vs Stoke for David Livermore to equalise, or against Chelsea in the cup when he made Ashley Cole look terrible and Avram Grant had to haul him off.
He actually had some great games but I reckon that his best was the away win against WBA - he didn't score many but it's a real eye opener to watch the season's review DVD and see just how many goals he played a key part in.
the video also shows a great double tackle by Bruce and him press JJ certainly doesn't make AB look a fool
I see he scored both goals for Nigeria against S Africa, but not enough to get the Super Eagles though, could only draw 2-2
