Five Blues played for England U19s. Three goals from our lads izzy B and Loftus-Cheek. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LJ9yM_tYfY http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...uben-Loftus-Cheek-light-New-York-Stadium.html
When Loftus Cheek played in the pre season amongst the first team players he seemed to fit in. Despite being young showed a maturity that blended in with the others and showed at times composure rarely seen in a lad his age. Ake is of similar ilk and has proven to be one of our products that can bridge the gap between promise and reality. That said, it takes the Manager and culture of the club to bring fruition to all of this. I for one think we are going in the right direction, Jose has also seen the light. I expect, nay, can almost touch the success we are about to savour. Never go back they said, Hmmm, methinks, if it feels right then why not.
I am starting to think we will BM2, Ake for one, and despite mediocre performances so far, young Zouma is a great talent. The times they are a changing, the costs are skyrocketing, I don't think we can afford not to bring on some kids. What puzzles me a tad is we buy young European kids and give them a run in the 1st team almost immediately . We need to give our Chelsea youngsters a similar run. Trust in youth Jose, slowly but surely.
Ake would make it at any other club, if he has to leave you for a decent chance of first team football then things need looking at. I do think things have changed at your club over the last two years though and expect to see more youngsters given a chance.
