    Zero hour contracts truly are the unacceptable face of Capitalism. Nothing less than immoral.

    I would care more if the staff at Sports Direct had anything to say about it.

    People complaining on other peoples behalf.

    Good point, but dare they say anything that would jeopardise their income?

    Bit of a flip side at SD, in that Fat Mike does pay his staff big bonuses from time to time. The corollary is flexible working practices which help generate the profits. The problem is always that people abuse the system and so it has to be regulated properly, which it isn't at the moment. Milliband can say what he likes on the subject, but it's not going to change anything unless he gets into power and then has the nads to follow-through. Cameron could regulate it properly in the time before the next election, but what are the chances of that? Unless Milliband gets away from soundbites he has less chance of winning than Farage, unless he's relying on a coalition of his own.

    I think they'd be granted anonymity via the media, Milliband is attempting to become a 'man of the people', even if I was a labour supporter I wouldn't vote for him, he's a wimpy, scrawny little piss flap, Labour have a much better chance of winning the next GE if he goes and chucks himself off a bridge.

    I hope that this shows a move to the left by Ed and away from the Tory Blair years when in all reality Labour was a light blue Tory party with left wing members and supporters who voted Labour to keep the true Tories out.

    I di believe that a lot of the bad press Ed is getting is because they have realised that he has moved the Party to the left and are scared that he will get into power and actually implement his policies. So they are playing the man not the ball.

    Sid the bonus payments are only to staff with a contract of employment so the 80+% on zero hour contracts don't get it. Just as they don't get holiday pay or sick pay!

    That's just it - Labour make a change to help "People" but Tories use it to target tham - much like the deficit which was caused by Northern Rock. Had Labour stood by and done nothing when Northern Rock went under, the Tories would say "The Labour Government didn't help those people who lost x y and z" - instead, the Labour Government left us with a massive financial deficit - which was actually not even close to being there before Labour bailed out Northern Rock. Selective information is all we'll ever get to be fair.

    The issue now is that Miliband is an idiot (much like his brother) and the Tories I wouldn't vote for if they were the only party as I'm not well off!!

    Who is the best of a bad bunch? I have absolutely no idea. I jjst know that, working for the NHS, the Tory Party is the worst we could have in power

    This is the problem. I know someone in my position can't vote Tory. What they've put my lass through is bordering on torture, it's definitely led to a deterioration in her health and they're not through with her by a long shot.

    SNP = Jock kernts
    UKIP = Fascist kernts
    Greens = Treehugging kernts
    Loony Party = Kernts pretending to be "characters"

    My politics have become less sophisticated over the years, it must be said.

    John Lydon described UKIP as "A black hole for the ignorant to fall into".

    Zero hours contracts generate little income tax..........Cameron is been hung on his own rope.

    USA seem to be reducing their deficit....we are not, that is incompetence.

    I guess the higher the rich at the top of the pyramid get the more poor they need at the bottom too have a broad base.
