Winning the league with az and the european cup with ajax is akin to winning the PL with everton and the european cup with spurs. I would say that qualifies.
I dont think you watched german or spanish football while lvg was working in either nation. You probably should have because you wouldn't be making clueless statements so often. Barce nor bayern were dominating their respective leagues. Both were actually way off the pace anf running on old boy politics. That's partly why lvg and the boarda at barcelona and bayern never got on.
Barca finished 2 points behind title winners Real when LVG took over in 97, 13 points ahead of third place. Oh, and they did the treble: bagging the Copa del rey, Supercopa, and Cup Winners Cup under Bobby! Robson. Bayern finished 2 points behind title winners Wolfsburg when LVG took over Bayern, who had a very strong CL campaign unbeaten in their group, beating Sporting a record 12-1 before losing to Barca in the QF. Hardly 'way off the pace'.
Well this descended into homo-eroticism quicker than I anticipated... As soon as I turn my back the thread turns into With Eyes Wide Shut...FFS. Feel massively unloved.
For the record my impression of Van Gaal's career is one of rampant opportunistic careerism (looks a bit like a vulture at times), single-mindedness, and yes, no little charisma. Some former players speak highly of him, though his arrogance dictates he's quite prone to rubbing up a lot of people the wrong way too. He's been lucky with some appointments, and done well in most of them too. I think he tends to drag extra out of a squad through blunt force, his way, which is perhaps why he can't stick around for a sustained period, because after a while that kind of attitude can be unfeasible without contrition. While a similar kind of attitude flourished under Sir Alex, I think Ferguson was generally more considerate and nuanced as a man-manager, which gave it longevity. Van Gaal seems like a bored kid playing FM, but maybe I'm wrong, maybe he'll stay at Man Utd for longer than 3 seasons. I'd wager he won't stay there that long, though.
You could quite as easily be describing Mourinho and I think it's a very fair and accurate assessment. They are peas in a pod those two. I doubt very much that, even if he's very successful at United, he'll stick around longer than two or, maximum, three seasons.
So posting a picture of your grid on a forum, is really going to be harmful Tobes. Now if I was a wanted man, then yeah not the wisest idea. So basically you and Shteve are ugly, slimy, wanted grease balls?
It could be harmful to your career if you were in a position that meant you had a large number of staff under you........ These forums are generally anonymous for a reason. Your choice if you want to post pics of yourself, but I don't and that doesn't mean anything other than I want to protect my anonymity
Put a tie on and give a 'I'm your manager and I'm a ****' smile But fair do's about wanting to protect your anonymity. The difference is Shteve doesn't want poo bags thrown at him whilst litter picking.
I'm just not into your "show me yours and I'll show you mine" game Zippy. To be honest I find it odd for a football forum. Isn't that kind of attention seeking, ie showing off new tattoos and questionable fashion choices, what Facebook is for?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ce-Argentine-happy-Manchester-United-now.html Angel Di Maria has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain's well-documented financial issues prevented him moving to France rather than Manchester United last summer. The French giants were issued with a spending restriction last summer for breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations with Di Maria subsequently making the move to Old Trafford for a British transfer record of £59.7 million. And the Argentine believes PSGâs money troubles were the key reason why they halted their pursuit. âPSG, I think they had a money problem and they couldnât buy players,' Di Maria said in an interview with French broadcaster Telefoot. 'This is the main reason I didnât go there. Playing in the French league would please a lot of players. 'Now Iâm in the English league. But you never know, there is a lot of movements in football. You can never predict where youâre going to play. 'There were a lot of clubs interested in me. A lot really. But Manchester United appeared and didnât go away. They absolutely wanted me and it happened.â Di Maria has made an impressive start to his career in the Premier League but the former Los Blancos star refused to ruled out a move to the Ligue 1 side later in his career. 'It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris,' he added. 'I know Iâm still young, perhaps Iâll go to PSG one day. I donât know how it will all end.' Di Maria insisted he had no regrets leaving the Bernabeu in the summer despite Unitedâs on-field struggles this season. âItâs a different style of football here at Manchester United,' he stated. 'Iâm very happy. I donât have regrets about leaving Real Madrid. I think I won everything I wanted with Real: La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey.'
They don't have money problems, this is FFP coming into play. Proves United again are top dog in the transfer market
