Ipswich Town are the front-runners to sign released Birmingham City midfielder Lee Bowyer. The 34-year-old veteran midfielder left the relegated Blues after reaching the end of his contract. With the Tractor Boys having just banked big money from the sale of young striker Connor Wickham, matching Bowyer's wage demands would not be a problem for Paul Jewell's side. That is expected to help them to see off competition from Derby County and complete the signing of the former Charlton, Leeds, Newcastle, and West Ham player. Jewell hopes to team Bowyer with Jimmy Bullard in an experienced new midfield.
Haha - claims we're getting Bowyer,,, others claim Dyer - oooo how the two of them love one another !
You're right they really do love each other... that is if you can remember what happened in the match between Newcastle United and Aston Villa in 2005 . We could have a re-match !!! Seconds out, round 2 !!!
