So at what point (if any) will you be cool with Pardew?

I think I read that Janmaat's first spoken word as a baby was Pardew.

The dutch have a very abrasive manner at times. Van Gaal is downright rude at times. Maybe this is why Daryl likes him so much.

    Keep the faith eh <laugh>

Credit where it is due. He kept his head up when the heat was properly on. He appears to be doing a good job at the moment. He's found a mix that is working and made some brave calls in his team selection. Sometimes I think he seems a bit to start believing his own hype a bit when things are going well. Just want him and the players to keep their heads down and keep the results coming. We are going to lose one soon enough so everyone including the fans will need to forget about it and move onto the next game. Mike also needs to not be a total tosser in Jan and sell anyone decent without investing properly back in the team.

Pardew has very clearly turned a corner with the players and now is getting results.

Will it last long? Probably not, but he looks set to keep his job for another year.

It will get interesting once Ashley gets his claws into Rangers properly.

Then the ground-shift will begin in earnest <ok>

I think Joker has a valid point, another owner won't be as tolerant so maybe Pardew will up his game even more at that point.
I'll alwaysa set the team above the manager so whilst I have no liking for Pardew at all on many levels.. I'm just bloody glad I've been given reason to stop beelin and at last can take my seat on a Saturday with a little hope that we may get a win.
It's been a long time since I've felt like that.

I love the way Pardew jumps in the crowd, punches the air and nuts opposing players. His character and passion I absolutely love. What I can't tolerate is the lying, blaming the fans for failures, defensive football and forcing talented players out of the club.

C'mon when did Alan do any of those heinous things you're suggesting. <grr>
Talk like that, and you wont be invited to be one of Sir Alan's disciples.

Silverware, and consistency for at least an entire season, would make me change my mind.

I personally think he's fluked this good run, due to being forced to play the kids & counter attacking football due to injuries
our possession over these games has been very low, which will wear out players over a stretch
and also: Spurs, Liverpool, and Liecester really had off-days - it was more them losing than us winning....

    I remain unconvinced.
