    Hi,

I'm off to try Hitchcock's restaurant on Bishop Lane tomorrow. Being a southbanker I'm not to hot on parking away from the major multi stories. Where's the best place to park within walking distance?

    Thanks

Near the new footbridge near Myton bridge/Old Town?Scale Lane. Drive as if you're going to the deep and theres a big gravel car park opposite the premier in, Hitchcocks is 2 minutes across the bridge.

Or park opposite the Guildhall at the back of the City Hotel which is a bit more secure and less than five minutes away

Why not Prinny Quay? It's cheap, close and you wont get more secure.

Park in the Lowgate car park behind the City hotel and opposite the Guildhall, after 6pm it will be free of charge. Should be plenty of spaces after the councillors and Council Staff have left. Or park on Guildhall Road, it is free parking after 6pm, just remember to park inside the bays correctly or the Parking Enforcement wardens may ticket you for not parking correctly inside the bay, even though it free parking!

Park near any of the above and then go somewhere else to eat. It's a vegetarian place :emoticon-0119-puke:

Thanks everybody. I hadn't realised how close to Prinny Quay it was so I parked there. Stick to what you know and that. Only a quid for parking too and as a bit of a geek I love the ticketless entry/exit!

The restaurant itself was bloody good too. As a fairly recent convert to vegetarianism I can honestly say this place matches up against any I've been to, meat or no meat. 3 courses for £18. All you can eat mains and desserts. I ate til it hurt. Highly recommend.
