It must be tough on Di Maria to come to the harsh realization that, in the Prem, he's as ****e as Soldado. Mr Dodgy Barnet is one of my favourites for my own "First Top Manager To Bite The Bullet" poll.
Wingers and attackers are often first off. They tend to do more running and exert more energy so its quite sensible taking them off. Jose does exactly the same. Takes off attacking players who tend to be explosive type players. Obviously learned off lvg. It is after all, a squad game. Plus i dont think he wants to lose di maria to injury. He's still new to the game lets not forget.
Man Utd were absolutely dismal today, again. I think everybody realises what hypocritical bullshit it was how some Man Utd fans and the media treated Moyes now, similar to how some Newcastle fans are shutting up a bit over Pardew. Van Gaal has been very disappointing thus far in every facet, except I think he's brought in good players. He keeps setting the bar back further and further. He clearly anticipated coming in and dominating this league. That "judge me after 3 months" quickly falling back... 3 years now isn't it? Jesus H Christ, 3 years spending £150 million a season and I think I could knock together a decent football team... What he's doing with what he has, though, is very poor. Honestly, he should be under serious pressure, but somehow he isn't because the attacking players he's bought have made Man Utd slightly less dull going forward, which having spent 150 million, should be the least that should have happened surely?
Ouch, now that hurts. Will be interesting to see what we get for him to stay in Italy permanently. Any guesses? (I'd estimate about £12m-£16m)
Funny that Di Maria was always subbed not the more explosive Bale and Ronaldo. Here Ancelotti explains why: http://www.espnfc.com/real-madrid/s...l-di-maria-lost-the-ball-in-important-moments
he's alright. the likes of hazard, sterling, oscar, sanchez, even walcott are all ten times the player di maria will ever be. funny thing is he only went to the scum for the money and the scum dont want to admit they massively overpaid for him. he doesnt give care about them and i soon believe his performances will start to drop.
Any other manager, would have pressure building fast (i.e. Moyes - very similar record, less money to spend, therefore less eye catching). LVG is a fraud - it's so obvious. He's won titles yes - but those titles were in leagues where he had the best team by a mile. He doesn't have that team here and moving the goalposts from 3 months to 3 years is classic!!. My mate fat Bob at our local boozer could put a better team together with that kind of money. LVG is a fraud.
Moyes did have the same money to spend, just he couldn't get the players and that was with the pull of champions league football
Liverpool fans really did believe after last season they would now be a top 4 team and now reality has hit them haha
So 12 or so games through the season you can tell we won't be top 4? (please explain) Because in my eye's it's still wide open to who will get 3rd and 4th, so much can change during the rest of the season. Yet after spending a day with his new players Van Gaal said they would win the league. I think we all know who's the delusional one - ooops he's now changed it to 3 years. How about never you delisional butthead fraudster.
He bought so well you've had to use players like 'Blackett' - players like that wouldn't even get the turfing job back in the day. He's built a team from the front, when it's common knowledge, the best way to build a team is start with defence - then build from that. He bought a fat kid that is worth about 10mil, and Rojo - a complete unknown (to 90% of people) until the WC. Rojo has absolutely nothing about him to step into those big shoes that were left - he might get both feet into one shoe, at a push.
True, same as a lot of United fans thought LvG + a Gazillion bucks would make you guys title challengers and now reality has hit you. It has been funny this season watching United and Liverpool fans argue over who has been less **** than the other one . Something I never thought I would see. LvG so far, has been turd imo. United players keep going on about how they are playing, and yes they look more adventurous up front, but the results just aren't happening. He has infinitely better attacking players than Moyes had at his disposal.
Ajax: LVG won them their first league title in 4 years and their first European Cup in 22 years. Barcelona: LVG won them their first league title in 4 years. AZ: LVG won them their first league title in 27 years Bravo Zippy. Your statement was spot on. If that's your version of a fraud only winning titles with the best team in the league by a mile then it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Mourinho. What do you make of Rodgers' management this season now that his team has been shorn of the player who seems to have covered up the manager's cluelessness last season?
There was a good post by a fan of a club (I think Sunderland) who has no axe to grind with United. His main point was that LVG hasn't been able to pick a consistent team due to the amount of injuries, particularly in defence, that United have had to deal with. This has been conveniently overlooked by many as it's simpler to just point and go "ha ha" at a poor start to the LVG reign (although not so poor as to be below Liverpool ). United started off the season by conceding too many goals as they were playing attacking football with a makeshift defence. As the defensive situation hasn't improved they've had to play more conservatively to protect the back four so the goals have dried up a bit. Many may not rate Smalling, Evans and Jones but they are internationals who have won titles and being able to pick 2 out of 3 of them as a partnership for longer than one game in a row would have been beneficial to the team set up. Would other teams have conceded more goals if they'd had to play much of the season with youth team players and midfielders at centre half? Probably. I can recall Chelsea having a similar defensive crisis a few years back and they had to play Ferreira and (I think) Essien at centre half. It was a disaster. Under Fergie United went to Fulham with Carrick and Fletcher at centre half and got spanked. To be fair to Blackett and McNair they've looked promising when they've been brought in and as it stands United have conceded fewer league goals than Liverpool and a massive three more than Chelsea.
I started to conclude that you simply don't read things I never claimed we'd be top four so its not all Liverpool fans (appreciate this wasn't your claim). I've not argued with a Man Utd who's been ****ter although I have said "we are the better ****erer side", make of that what you will
