A few spanish commentators have likened him to a young Torres.
Think we have a little gem there lads.

Him and Aarons have made this season so far for me.

Raylor coming back, Dummett + Ameobi not being ****e and Haidara getting first team are pretty good as well but I'm not sure that any of those 4 will be benefitting us in a few seasons time.

Wait... Did they liken him to A young version of current Torres, or did they liken him to THE young Torres?

Already got more premier league goals than the combined delights of luque and xisco. Best Spanish striker ever!

He is a natural scorer. Frightening really as the lads has boat loads to learn. His enthusiasm is infectious though. The young lads have given some much needed energy, we have movement and pace.

A few weeks ago this thread would have been saturated with "He'll end up being pardewed and sent out on loan to Darlington". How times change.

If he scores a few more he'll be sold next summer. The media are on it already do Ashley will be ready to fill up his balls again.

It's starting to look like he really does know what he is doing with developing the young lads. He showed a lot of backbone sticking to his principles last year and not throwing them into a struggling team. He is also continuing to use them carefully. Some are saying that Pardew deserves no credit for the current good run as he is only doing what any fan would have done ages ago. However, doing it ages ago could have destroyed this talent before it even got started and Pardew deserves a lot of credit for the way he has handled things on this score.

I always thought that Abeid showed glimpses of early potential, but not quite enough when he had his chances early on. Pardew sent him off for a loan spell where he got lots of game time and came back transformed into the player l had hoped he would be.
Maybe that was just lucky on Pards behalf, or maybe he knew what he was doing in managing Abeid in this way, l am not sure if it is good management or simply good luck.
The jury is still out to some extent, but so far so good.

This must be said but if Haidara, Dummett, Ayoze, Abeid, and Aarons all make it we would probably be set for quite a long time. This assuming Mike doesn't sell our best players. Dummett at CB has been a breath of fresh air to be honest. He's got the physicality and pace that Colo lacks while colo has the class and positioning. Lets keep firing on this season.
