I think when I pay a lot of money for my season pass and I clearly see the players not trying, I have the right to complain a bit ! They don't run, they don't try. No effort ! Just ****e and they deserve all the criticism they get !
This is a Hull City message board, it's hardly surprising that following an abject performance, the team are criticised. No doubt much of the criticism and negativity is well over the top, but much of it was deserved yesterday.
Apart from a few posters giving it the SB is tactically clueless bollocks, and Hat on a wind up, I dont know what you expect Polly. This a board with a lot of posters. CI are saying exactly the same but with less users as are AN. Theres just a lot of people saying the same thing, we were weak as piss and didnt put in the hard yards. Which is why Brucey got em in today.
It's not about what I "expect", Chazz; it's merely an observation of fact. I think Leon T Trout has it right when he points out that my o/p describes a good proportion of our fans. I just find this sad and annoying.
Bruce says what everyone on here has been saying. Is he poodling? “All I can do is apologise to supporters,” said the City boss, who invested heavily in his squad in the summer. “We got what we deserved, which was beaten. It wasn’t good enough, nowhere near good enough. “If you don’t roll your sleeves up and get ready for challenge, you are not going to get anything. “We gave it away, we were lethargic and we were second best all over the pitch. We were flaming awful. “The one thing I cannot abide is what we did in the first half. It saddens me that a team of mine played like that and it won’t happen again.”
We were ****ing ****e yesterday, but thereâs nothing majorly wrong and truthfully, it's to be expected at times. In my opinion, weâll be in the dogfight for our foreseeable top flight future and regardless of that, every team is beatable in this division on the day. But, my post (and if I may say what I took from Polly's too) was not about the criticising of one performance. Itâs about the emotional applecart that seems to get spilt every time we have a disappointing result/performance. I accept every team has fans like these, but I also believe that shouldnât stop their condemnation from the realistic.
No, he's not. There's a difference between Steve Bruce recognising a **** performance when he sees one and some of the ****ing tripe that's been posted on here for weeks now, about everything from Tom Huddlestone's supposed weight problem and how it's reduced him to being "a passenger for most of the season" to the latest bollox along the lines of "who should be the next manager?". The work of utter ****ing poodles, all of it.
Polly, you accuse everyone who's even slightly critical of the team of being a poodle. On CI, every other post of yours was a picture of a pink poodle. This is a Hull City message board, people are free to post opinions on anything Hull City related, if you're not comfortable with that, then **** off and post elsewhere. At least nobody on here is the sort of sad **** who'd contact someone's employer about one of their posts.
So you expect an internet forum based on peoples opinions to either be positive or not say anything when we put in awful performances. Wind your neck in a stop being a fence sitting 'poodle'. Sitting on the fence and diverting criticism to fans makes you just as bad as the people you slander. Just because you daren't muster an opinion, doesn't entitle you to be self righteous or have an inflated sense of ones status and opinion. Reaching the FA Cup was a fantastic achievement but it has really papered over the cracks to how badly we ended the season and how poorly we have started the season(performances). We have vastly under performed this season so far and there appears to be a lack of passion, determination and quality in terms of our performances. When we play badly I don't think there is a team in the league that can match how poorly we can play. At least when Burnley are getting drubbed they still wear their hearts on their sleeves. I give me a break with the complacency bull s**t about how far we have come. That mentality will get us nowhere, if you excuse everything with 'we used to be s**t' so everything is a bonus. Based on the money spent at the club fans have every right to be critical. The majority of things I posted in the list thread are hard to argue with and the majority of fans would likely agree with. There are a few things on that list that maybe a tad harsh like ' has Bruce taken us as far as he can'. But the majority of the points are legitimate points out about performances levels and tactics.
My opinion is that some of you lot are fannies. You can call that self righteous or inflated if you want.
You hardly pluck up the courage to muster a criticism or opinion about the football side of things. Surely that would make yourself a 'fanny'. Instead you divert your energy to slandering people but not expressing why you believe they are wrong or their opinion is uncalled for. I have seen 1 maybe 2 people on this forum saying get rid of Bruce. Majority of the other criticism are fair legitimate points and are opinions that the paying fan has every right to express. Surely it would be naive or even stupid to think that nobody is going to have any criticism about team selections, tactics, results and performances. Because they are undeniably questionable. It is hardly like no criticism is called for. Last night for example the question on TalkSport was. Why are Hull City under performing when they have such top class Premier League players in their team? It is like going too the cinema and paying to see a film. The film then been s**t and then being entitled to express your criticism at the film.
