Okay, the first was offside but he was still skinned for pace. As for the second, well, he was all at sea.

I love the bloke but he don't half drop some crucial clangers in crucial games these days. His legs are shot.

Aguerro will skin far more mobile players than Dunne, his 2nd goal was pure skill, much as I hate the Kunt...

Very harsh Swords to pick him out. I wouldn't blame him for the first goal, offside and handball. Dunne looks far more solid than Caulker.

He got done for the second, if he'd clocked it that he would make the header face on, he should have turned and slowed aguero down, which is what he managed to do for the first, but aguero knocked it past him with his hand. Can't blame Dunne for that.

True, but would you have preferred Rio instead (I know he was suspended, but hypothetical question)

Ned would've had the pace, but Dunne's positional sense is generally better

Totally this, the man is a shoe-in at Center half. Aguero will skin most defenders, old & young, in any league. Poor comment.

I said before the game that Onuoha should have started instead of Dunne. Not the right opposition for Dunne.

If Onuoha is to play it would be instead of Caulker. Dunne is far more solid.

Definitely not. I said Dunne should have started and he put in some tremendous blocks. However, you can't hide the fact he's slower than a snail. And at this level thats always dodgy.

He's more suited to playing against hulking great bruisers rather than lightening fast runners. COL is right in that regard. He's said it repeatedly.

Having said all that, he's still the best center-half we have at the moment!

    Very true Monkey

Dunne's legs being "shot" is not the same thing as a "clanger". The guy has been immense since he has stepped foot in the club and he was up against one of the best players in the Premier League. If it was not for Dunne's performances in the last 4 matches we would not have been in a position to play like we did today. Class Act.
    End of.

Thought green rushing out when Aguero had 2 men on him made scoring a certainty I'm afraid, crap goalkeeping there as much as anything else.

A tad bit harsh I feel. :emoticon-0120-doh: Since Dunne was bought back once Harry had the guts to drop Rio, he has owned Balotelli, Benteke and Costa. Aguero was a bridge too far but then he would've been for Hansen and Lawro in their prime too. Caulker will benefit more from playing alongside Dunne than he will Rio. Although ultimately I would like to see Onouha and Caulker become the centre back pairing as Dunne isn't going to be able to play all season unfortunately.

    This.
Great team performance but gutted in not having all three points. Dunne has seriously battered top players despite the odd clanger. He has put in some crucial blocks yesterday, so to pick him out is harsh. Without his awareness and general 'steel' we would have lost.

Absolutely right - one of the best strikers in the world, on top form, against a 35yr old (?) in the twilight of his career - we simply can't be this critical when his performance was overall top class.

After seeing the highlights it was Dunne's interception that created our first goal apart from that solid as a rock.
