Mick has never broken a contract throughout his entire football career and he has just signed another 3 year contract. There is no way that he will leave us for a deadbeat club that is on it's way down.
pulis went on record to say he'd be prepared to take 'the right' championship job. rumour at the city ground was that he'd replace pearce (and still might). he's also relatively close to delia in terms of having done after dinner speaking at her request. I really don't think it's impossible
Do you think Adams would go back to coaching the youth team? I know Norwich is his club, but it'd be a step back down in his career. Interesting one.
(Clearly you're looking to get a few digs in, which is fair enough, but I'll answer properly). I bet he'd be doing better than Adams is with this group of players, but no - I think that boat has sailed and far too much water passed along the way
Depends if he jumps or has to be pushed. If he's a big man and says the task is too much for him, he could easily return to the youth set-up, or become the new manager's number 2. If he holds on in a Hughton-esque manner and has to be fired, then I doubt he'd get another opportunity within the club.
I think players like Murphy and redmond are absolutely crying out to be used in a more direct system! Howson less so admittedly but overall the squad has the physical attributes to suit a pulis system perfectly. At least the players would know their roles - I get the impression they currently haven't got a clue what they are supposed to be doing. They need to be properly drilled
Isn't football indeed life always full of twists and turns and contrasting fortunes. After our derby day defeat just before the first international break we were floundering and Mick faced a real test. 14 games later we find ourselves 4th off the back of 3 straight wins against some decent opposition and 4 points above Norwich. The arrogance of Adams saluting the Norwich crowd and ignoring Mick is an image that has engrained itself in the mind of our supporters! You were top of the league as your support constantly reminded us afterwards and it seemed that it would just be a formality for you boys. That was back in August and here we are now in mid November and our fortunes have remarkably reversed in that time. You deserved to beat us that day but I seriously believe that this defeat was the catalyst that we needed and it has inspired our players to go out and perform. On the other hand your players I think were lulled I to thinking that this league was going to be easy! I don't like Adams especially after his poor manners after that game and I hope he gets all he deserves.
What did howson say yesterday, that all the players think they are best squad in the division. That to me is your problem, you have to graft in the championship, if you don't or feel you are above the championship you will get found out.
He did apologise afterwards and admit he simply got carried away celebrating and it was never meant to cause any offence. Don't let human error get in the way of a good story though.
well I think he deserved the sack so it's irrelevant. he wouldn't be here even if he'd stayed till the end of the season and kept us up
