Brady had been playing alright and was hardly fair dropping him at the first opportunity. He does need dropping though
Bruce has an obsession with keeping inferior players in the team just because they've done 'OK' for a game or two as replacements for far better footballers. He seems to have forgotten that he considered Robertson worthy of selection for the first six or seven games, and he was vindicated with some excellent performances. Yes, he got injured and Bruce can't help that, but he's now fit - so get him back in the team you pumpkin-headed berk.
The Premier League is a squad game. If players on the bench had no chance of getting a start unless a player is injured and then get dropped as soon as the player comes back however well they played, they'll look elsewhere for football - and that will go for all the others. They need to feel they can have a chance of playing. If these players go elsewhere, you're left with a poor squad - then when you do get injuries you're screwed. Furthermore, it drives competition for places. Brady played very well last game (see MOM thread) - he deserved another game and actually was nowhere near our worst player. Quite simple really.
He'll be back for Spurs...because Brady hasn't taken the opportunity......And all those players who let us down today should be on the bench with him...
