I think we will get Cabaye and it will ****ing piss me off when we do. He's another Arteta - good on the ball, can play deep but is NOT a defensive midfielder. He won't give us anything we don't already have. We need a physcical, powerful midfielder who can win the ball and get forward with pace. Lars Bender, Khedira, Carvalho - one of those would do nicely. Wenger needs a slap if he does'nt sign one. He probably won't because we always seem to go through a Season short in one area or another.
Christoph Kramer is a player we should be looking at for the DM posistion. Been watching him more this season and he has caught my eye. Like a stronger Busquets. He actually started for Germany in the World Cup final, only to get subbed off with a head injury early on. He is ahead of both the Bender brothers in the German pecking order. Looking forward to see his performance against Dortmund this weekend.
More rumours that we're going to make a bid for Smalling in Jan. Wouldn't be the worst back up CB we could have. But I can't see Smalling wanting to be back up, he's not good enough to start, and I can't see Man U letting one of their 'senior' defenders go at a time when they are scrabbling around for defenders and a defence...
Do you think we'd be able to get Kramer Sanj? I'd imagine he'll be in demand with a lot of teams, but would be a great signing if we could get him (from the little I've seen of him, I might add)
No reason why we couldn't attract Kramer to Arsenal. There aren't many players a Wenger Arsenal couldn't attract to be honest. If we were able to get two of the best players in the world when we finally decided to splash the cash, is proof enough. Now what Kramer wants is another matter.
There has been a few links to Real Madrid, but he might want to be a regular rather than a squad player, because no matter how good he is, Modric and Kroos are going to start ahead of him. Per and Ozil can always have a word in his ear.
I know this is random but from our starting XI, since we started talking penalties, this is how I'd see it the order: Arteta, Sanchez, Walcott, Ramsey, Welbeck, Ozil, Debuchy, Gibbs, Kos, BFG, Chez.
And we should win this match. Swansea have only won 1 in 7, and as they don't counter attack quickly our defence should be ok. Still, we'll probably need to score at least 3, probably more goals to have a chance of winning... Huh, wrong thread. Sorry chaps
Hummels has said he prefers Arsenal over both the Manchester clubs in a recent interview. Have to say, for me he is the ideal defensive signing. Best Centreback on the planet IMO. Strong, tall, technical, great range of passing and still only 25 years old.
Mirror are reporting that he wants to join Arsenal and is likely to leave Dortmund in January. Wenger has been tracking him and has asked to be kept informed of any developments with the player. He would be a brilliant signing, exactly the type of player that we should be going for.
And you believe them? Just like that story that Hummels was going to England for 5m? Bullshit, I think was Klopps response. Only way Arsenal will get Hummels is if he comes with Klopp, and thats a James Doakes fact.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus, 25, is set to reject a £20m move to Arsenal next summer because he is concerned he will not win titles at the Emirates. (The Sun - subscription required) Arsenal will make a £30m January bid for Barcelona right-back Dani Alves, 31, and forward Pedro, 27. (Daily Express) lol
