The administrators have decided it's a lost cause and have ceased trading immediately, making all 200 staff redundant.
Come on now olm, you know the rules of this board. You should have said "Marussia have done one". That's why there have been no replies, no one knows what your on about....
I didn't have a scooby doo who or what Marussia was until I googled it. Know I know why I hadn't heard of them...I follow F1 with as much passion as I do for the England football team....zero interest. It's a shame for the 200 employees though!
They have passed on. Marussia is no more. They have ceased to be. They've expired and gone to meet their maker. They're stiffs. Bereft of life, they rest in peace. If Bernie hadn't nailed them to the perch they'd be pushing up the daisies. Their metabolic processes are now history. They're off the twig. They've kicked the bucket, shuffled off their mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible. They are an ex-F1 team.
It seems that if they don't compete the season they forfeit all the price money which in their current standing would have been £13M. Seems a bit harsh that they don't get at least a percentage of it.
This is what happen when all the money goes to the top teams. Still, they knew what they were signing up for. Just a shame it will affect those 200 employees.
So hard for bottom tier teams to make it these days. Unfortunate really but I suppose even Ferrari can't put a decent car together either. Strange times in F1.
this team was based in yorkshire and indeed started out as a formula 3 team.i have been out with the tech team in holland when they raced in zandvoort. lewis hamilton was with them at the time. in fact i have a marrusia formula 1 t shirt never worn. shame....john who owns the team is a sound geezer.
sad but true , that of all the money F1 generates most of it goes to 3 teams and of that most of it goes to Ferrari - how the money is distributed makes it near impossible for a fair fight
