Good Morning Everyone, Surely Pearce and Cooper will be called upon at the centre of defence tomorrow when Blackpool come town. With Bellusci suspended, and Wootton out of favour, this will be a good opportunity to find out what these two can do! That is of course unless Del Fabro gets a surprise call up. The U19 Italian international (current) is on a season long long from Cagliari. Its quite bizarre that nobody has been talking about him... Neil Redfearn has said that Byram has been mismanaged, and taken for granted!!! Thoughts? Following Cellino's comments in the YEP yesterday, the football league have responded saying its board was "appraised of the situation" regarding Cellino today. No more to add than that.
Morning Elland and all. Interesting comment on Byram. Something has clearly stalled his career. whether its the injury or behind the scenes stuff. Id completely forgotten Del Fabro. When do we get to know if theres a transfer embargo in January due to FFP thing? Surely soon if its to happen at all
Morning all - I know it isn't a time to take a gamble but I would go with Pearce or Cooper alongside one of our younger players or even Wootton, I don't like the two playing together as thet are both left footed. I agree we should consider giving Del Fabro a run out, we have him on loan with a view to a permanent deal so surely we need to see him play at some stage? Going to try and remain positive today with our 3 points in the bag tomorrow FL and Cellino - I posted this link yesterday but it might have got missed http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...Cellino-squatters-rights-at-Leeds-United.html
As I'm making the journey tomorrow I'm going for a 3-0. The only down side is I'm driving so will have to watch sober Mornin all.
They'll probably let us know on 31st of January, backdate it and screw us for making transfers under an embargo if Harvey has anything to do with it Morning all
Morning all. It would be interesting to see Cooper with either Wooten or Del Fabro. We really need to see what both can do in our new team. We can afford to have 4 CBs for next season. 3 of those would appear to e Pearce, Bellusci, & Cooper. But unclear the 4th CB is going to be.
I remember reading a while back that Cellino had agreed with GFH that he would clear all the debts and be entirely responsable for the funding of all the transferes, and running costs All GFH have to do is sit tight let Cellino get on with it and reek all the rewards if there are any whilst never having to dip into their own pockets, would you give that up ?
To me it sounds as though Byram has asked for a move and Redfearn is trying to make sure everyone knows it didn't start as a problem on his watch..... Classic pass the buck / expectation management. Arsenal £2.5 - £4 mill.
Had he gone two years ago would have felt like a huge loss, not so sure it'd feel like the end of the world now. But I dont see as much of him as some of you lads, maybe Im being unfair
Never recovered from injury and was over played last year and ruined as a result. However he is still the best homegrown prospect / player we have by a country mile.
Good morning to Matt and co from a very wet Cote de Bardsey Well I Have been praising Cooper comparing him with Madeley so I wasnt surprised he played well on Tuesdayas for Byram I think all the accolades went to his head and he has regressed but time is on his side .According to some rumours we are now after a winger at last to me that means young Gray of Birmingham what a prospect I hope to watch the game tomorrow if this cold clears up Blackpool have recruited 4 new players this week but they have Lee not a clue Clark in charge so I go for a WIN
Why would he? If he clears all the debts effectively GFH's 25%share would be worth a lot more. Tats part of the reason why he hasn't bought back ER.
I've always found this quite amusing, a number of people have mentioned the situation with having two left footed players at centre half, but how many clubs have centre half partnerships with 2 right footed players, no one seems to worry too much about those partnerships
Any decent player would be equally adept with either foot. The best CB's especially, if you think about it, are as good with their right foot as their left. Kompany, Piquet, Ramos...in fact there's loads
