Igor Gamula, the coach of Russian club FC Rostov, says he will not sign any more black players in the January transfer window, because he's worried they might have Ebola. When reporters asked Gamula if he could sign Cameroon defender Benoit Angbwa to add depth to his side, he said "We have enough dark skinned players already," before adding "Weâve got six of the things. I donât want anymore." When asked why signing 'dark skinned players' was an issue, he said he was already worried that some of his players could have Ebola, and didn't want to increase the risk by signing more. Of Rostov's black players, only Moussa Doumbia (Mali) is from a country with a recorded death from Ebola. Guelor Kanga (Gabon), Bastos (Angola), Igor Lolo (Ivory Coast), Siyanda Xulu (South Africa) and Reginal Goreux (Haiti) all hail from countries where the disease is currently under control. It's absolutely crazy to think Gamula is allowed to say such ignorant things in a country which is set to host a World Cup in four years... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Oh dear... Can't see this going down well when it hits the major papers...
****ing Russia Stupid backwards country that people have developed an irrational fear of. I'd automatically make myself a free agent if I played in Russia and get myself a payday elsewhere in Europe, regardless of my skin colour. If they tried to take you to court for terminating your contract it would last less than 5 minutes.
I remember when Russia got awarded the World Cup & they interviewed the sports minister about racism in the country. He said something along the lines of, 'well a lot of Russian people have never seen a ******, it will be good for Russia.'
I don't speak Russian, but maybe it's a case of lost in translation? Makes a much juicier story to change 'six of them' to 'six of the things' though, who's going to check anyway. Every country that has small to non-existent populations of black people will be ignorant and in-informed about issues relating to them.
The Russian guy is very disrespectful when referring to the blacks as "things" But the one thing I do like about the Russians, is they don't let the minority in their country become the majority. Here in the UK we have opened our doors to the world, and rolled out the red carpet to anyone that fancies coming in, whatever race or religion that might be. The multi cultural system that we have been told to live by only works one way and that is the way of the immigrants. When our people get fed up we are labelled racist, and now it's got to a point where we have an extreme risk of terrorism in our country. I know there are good blacks and Muslims ect, but they also have a very high proportion that is bad, and these people rob, rape, murder, and terrorise our country. Russia do not have the same problem as us, they put they're people first, and for that I say hats off to them.
I'm not sure on figures between us and Russia. But I do know that we live under an severe terror alert and they don't. Russia have they're problems as a country, but they don't let people from other nations give them problems, and I think that's a good way to be.
The same Russia where the Prem-level players at Anzhi have had to live 300+ miles from their home games due to constant threat of terrorism, explosions, full-on warfare? Say what you like about how Britain has it bad, but I don't remember JT, Lamps, Henry etc commuting from hundreds of miles away just to get a home game in.
So when they do travel the 300 miles, they play amongst full on warfare? I don't think so. The live far away because the club train in a nicer part of Russia so it attracts better players. Would be like Sunderland basing themselves in London to train, so we attracted better players.
I didn't say full-on warfare - I said there was a threat of it. There's a difference between Sunderland and London, no doubt. There's a slightly more significant difference between Moscow and Makhachkala. 'A nicer part of Russia' is a hell of an understatement. Feel free to look it up.
Holy crap, if that is a proper translation of his words and sentiments, BOOM goes the dynamite! This will be interesting to watch.
Seriously? You weren't aware of the Chechynian crisis, something like 800 hostages held in a theatre in Moscow and a load of them killed when Russian troops storm the building. To think Russia is not at threat from fringe nations, esp in the Caucasus, who don"t have a lot of love for Putin and the Kremlin is naive to say the least. Ever been to Russia? As someone else has said, you enter and the relative unease rises significantly, despite the fact it has got a lot better since i've been visiting over the last 10 years. It is one place i would not want to get stuck, it feels lawless. And that is the established cities of Moscow and St Petes. To say the rest of the country is underdeveloped is an understateement. Put their people first? Those with power come first, everyone else plays the role of minion. You certainly don't get much real news outside of the country which is run by populist propoganda merchants. Once the country goes into recession next year, and there is a lack of food on the shelves, lets see how joyful a place it is to live in. As for your comment, 'a very high proportion of blacks and muslims are rapists, murderers and terrorists', What percentage are you talking about here, based on what sources of info? What are the comparable stats for white Britons? Possibly the most ignorant post i have seen on this forum.
Just to prove that you may also be wrong.. Student sentenced to two years in prison for bomb scare at Newcastle University An 18-year-old Russian student has pleaded guilty to the manufacturing of an explosive substance after chemicals were discovered at a Newcastle University student accommodation campus in June 2014 http://www.itv.com/news/tyne-tees/s...ive-after-bomb-scare-at-newcastle-university/
All countries are run by propaganda merchants. Do you think the USA or Britain isn't? Name me one country that is a democracy in the true sense of the word. We certainly don't have one in the UK, we have a three party dictatorship that will go to any lengths to keep that in place. Woe betide anybody who tries to break up the gang of three. We might see them arguing like bairns with each other on tv but let's be honest about it. They all go on the piss together in the House of Commons bars, which by the way sell subsidised drinks to the privileged few at the expense of the British taxpayer. British MP's see themselves as rulers not servants. Bunch of hypocritical ****ers if you ask me.
