Also, the way the Spurs lot celebrated that, you would thought they got a late winner in a cup final, not a winning goal against a s**te ten men Villa side.
We lost to Chelsea the following week and this board had it's expected meltdown. If we'd have drawn at Stamford Bridge, people would have been much happier. But to be honest the draw against Spurs was probably worse, because if we'd won that game and then lost at SB it would have at least been 3 from 6 but as it was we took 1 point from those two games. It reminds me a bit of the Utd game at home last season, they were **** and were there for the taking, but we were as flat as a pancake that day and blew our chance to beat them. I think we might be hitting a vein of good form now, so let's hope we take that into the up coming Utd game and bury a few demons with that fixture
Pretty much this. We really need to start capitalising on some fixtures and against United, we have a very good chance of coming away with 3 points. I just fear that we have a mental block against them which will stop us from being our best. Thankfully we have Sanchez and Walcott is back from injury for this fixture. I can only imagine Welbeck will be well up for this game so he can prove a certain butcher on how good he really is.
Man City bottom of their CL group. For all of the frustration of last night's game against Anderlecht, that was nothing compared to how the £1bn spent on the squad at City can crash out of the CL group in that manner.
actually want City and Chelsea to progress in CL so that they might drop points in EPL. we won't get any further than last 16 again
Just read this comment from a member of public on Chelsea's second goal against Liverpool on the BBC: Andy: Chelsea's superior strength and power was clearly evident for their second goal. Liverpool's smaller players just couldn't cope. Substitute Liverpool for Arsenal and that comment wouldn't be out of place. Sadly.
