Can't help but feel a bit sorry for Balotelli who I believe has been made Liverpool's scapegoat for their poor start to the season. Don't get me wrong he is a bit of a twat but for some people to be putting sole responsibility of Liverpool's problems on his shoulders in a bit much. For Liverpool standards they have looked poor this season all over the pitch. Mingolet has been questionable, Gerrard is holding them back and looks poor but is spared the criticism because he is a cult legend status, Sterling has under performed and generally the whole squad and management looks flat, uninterested and unimaginative. Having said all of this, the book seems to be stopping with Balotelli because blaming the guy with the past like his, is the easy thing to do. He was always going to have the odds stacked against him with his reputation, playing style, previous club (man city) and Suarez leaving. The majority of the times I have seen Liverpool playing this year, he seems to be one of the only player who is actually trying to make something happen. A striker thrives on confidence and that is when the goals start coming - but how hard is that going to be when he is continually referred to Suarez and made a scapegoat for the rest of the failing Liverpool team. It doesn't help that he has legends like Carragher slandering him every week because of their own personal dislike for the player. Calling for his head and for him to be sold in January. Carragher should be ashamed to be laying into Balotelli whilst the window is shut and he is a Liverpool player. Liverpool need to move on from Suarez. Start looking forward and stop look backwards (which is something Liverpool seem incapable of doing)
