I'm not so sure stick. The money suggested Cue Card was going to be firing on all cyclinders and all the pre-race talk from Tizzard was of racecourse gallops and fitness not being an excuse. All remarkably similar to the Silvinaico Conti saga from Saturday. No doubt the talk will also be 'well the trip doesn't suit Cue Card nowadays'! Well done Drever and anyone else on.
Well done DreverSpur on God's Own smashed 'em there fair play to ya. Cue Card was mightily disappointing and all the money suggested he was right as rain. Balder Success ran ok, clouted a few on the home run costing him but he still wouldn't have got the winner today.

Lovely chase debut from The Tullow Tank. To be critical you could say he was rather big at one or two, but in the main they'd be absolutely delighted with that. Easy as you like against 2 very decent benchmarks.

Exactly STH. He's one of my '5 to follow' so I am very happy with that fencing debut. Usually these beginners chases are schooling rounds with little competition but that one wasn't as the second and third are very decent, so nice to see him brush them aside like he did. Would make you think he could develop into a player come March for the JLT but it's a long time to go as we all know! Having said that I'm glad I mopped up the 10s for it this morning as that ship has long since sailed!

Incredible run from Mala Beach, 2015 Lexus and 2016 Gold Cup winner, can pick up the Topaz and the RSA on the way. Best novice chaser ive seen since Denman. Nice run from The Tullow Tank as well, too much speed in a sprint for Mala Beach today, doesnt look one for the proper Cheltenham races but should mop up these slow run affairs in Ireland.
