Nothing on Twitter Stick. The exchange layers have simply decided he has no chance in their eyes and priced him up around 80s+

Interesting evidence to suggest the draw might not be everything:

    http://www.racenet.com.au/melbourne-cup/barrier-draw.aspx

With that in mind, I make a late play on ARALDO, who off a low weight can go very well and shaped tremendously in the Caulfield Cup. I really thought Lucia Valentina shaped the best in that race but her turn of speed makes me think that 2m just isn't for her and I see her being outstayed. Araldo however was held up last and met traffic problems, staying on stoutly and looking more a stayer than Lucia. Having proved his ability to run well from the back of the field, his draw is less of a concern than some and with two runners out already (Cavalryman and Sea Moon), it's two less in his way than it could be <laugh>.

Given Marco Botti's record with stayers, and looking at the overall form of Seismos, owned by Australian thoroughbred bloodstock I have to agree with Cyc and think this one looks way over priced.
Just had a dabble on Skybet at 80/1 paying 5 places. I'm sure I've placed worse bets!!!

Hope this is worth setting the old alarm clock for!

Great race, never miss it...Complete dart throwing at this tbh but good fun..Gatewood was huge at 66's earlier and have a few bucks on Lucia Valentina.

Might as well finish off the last third of my big bottle of Chilean Merlot from dinner time.

    GL anyone having a punt.

Dermot Weld gave these European guys the confidence to target this race.

Best trainer on the planet imo.
