BBC

Hull City defender Alex Bruce, 30, faces a short spell watching from the stands after pulling his hamstring.

"Alex got injured in training on Friday, one of the last kicks of the session," Tigers manager - and his dad - Steve Bruce tells the Premier League club's website.

"We don't think it's too serious. It's probably going to be two, three or four weeks."

Absolute waste of time. Never manages more than a couple of games before another injury. Made of chocolate.

Just means McShane will now be ahead of him in the pecking order, as he should have been anyway. Not a big deal.

Agreed. I think Alex is unfairly criticized for his distribution but Macca is way ahead of him in that respect as we saw on Saturday, and is overall a much better CH. Great backup for Daws and good replacement for the next few weeks.

mcshane honestly offers no difference to bruce really.. look i love all this mcshane loving etc.. but let's be honest.. mcshane is just our paddy mcourt... except celtic had a better song than we do

then again, unfortunately, celtic fans are the second best i've ever encountered in the british isles, but that support would be heavily scrutinized by a few on here.. hate the c**ts like but boy do they have a proper singing section.. shames our so called ulltras

and rangers can do this in a third division scottish football fixture and notice the 11th November remembrance.. that is HOW you do it.. what other club has armed forces members treated like this?

it will get scrunity by plt.. the ulltras could only hope for this

yet in a chamionship fixture in OUR promotion season this picture i took from my seat we get this crowd

this is exactly why i don't attend home games.

and people take the piss out of scottish football, it might not have the superstars.. but it has the heart and passion..

and before anyone says " **** off to scotland or rangers " ... i ****ing love hull city... against darlington or york or chelsea.. i love it.. like what's wrong with some criticism? i love this club more than anything... i've given to a certain supporters group, but i am hated on this forum i know

When you said it'd be scrutinised by PLT I was expecting an imminent Palace comparison. I can't have been the only one.

I have no idea what the relevance of that picture is to me in particular. Peterborough are one of the few teams I don't hate.

i can only assume you've been sniffing glue - McShane is light years ahead of Bruce in every department - even the white ****e loaned him out to Huddersfield

Overall IMHO McShane is better than Bruce, Bruce is probably the best tackler of the two, but in the air, on the ball and overall commitment to the cause, Macca for me is ahead of Bruce.

Agreed, saw a comment about Mcshanes passing being better or something, not for me- Mcshane lacks composure and technique, not the headless chicken he was but I think Chuck Chuck is lurking there ready to come out. Bruce handles players like Suarez (i.e. the top class ones) whereas you think Mcshane will be done over by the best. He has improved Mcshane and he is a good lad too

I'm just happy that we've got two no-nonsense, albeit a little unrefined, backups to our first choice centre-halves.
