    Statistics eh?

Take from them what you want. There's always an up-side or a down-side.

A clean sheet guarantees at least a point. That's a positive for me.

We're also 3rd from the top in the Fair Play league .... meaning we have the third worst disciplinary record beaten only by Stoke (there's a surprise) and Newcastle.

If we were at the bottom of the league then Monk's clean up the officiating would carry a tad more weight.

Yes but take a look at those yellows and reds. A good 50% I would estimate are farcical, bordering on conspiratorial.

A few seasons ago we were top of the fair play table (i.e. choirboys) but we got duffed up on a regular basis. I'm glad to see the players can stand up for themselves more.

We do have to cut out the silly yellows/reds (throwing the ball away, stupid challenges, etc.). But then again, where's the fairness? You see players kick the ball away all the time, but only the Swans pick up a yellow card. Watch out for it and you'll see this is true.

I think that the petulance has crept in maybe due to Monk's very public frustration at bad decisions.
