Somehow Villa manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against Spurs and are now firmly in the danger zone, a great result for us. Tomorrow sees two more relegation candidates meet at Selhurst Park, a draw there would do nicely...

Yes, I think I was willing that free-kick in just as much as the Spurs fans. Great result for us. Benteke also suspended for three matches.

Villa's next 3 games are West Ham (a), Soton (h) then Burnley (a).

If they lose the next 2, Burnley would fancy their chances!

The pundits were saying before our match last week that things would get better for Villa with Benteke back. They'll have to play the next three without him. What a shame.

Spurs fans must have been cr*pping themselves as Lambert unveiled his secret weapon Darren Bent....in the 92nd minute!! What faith he has in the £25m striker!!

I felt the same (non) tremble of fear when he wheeled on Joe Cole last week!!

the tin tack for Lambert soon I reckon.....or will the trend of giving a manager on the brink another lifeline and see their team suddenly transform a la big sam and pardew prevail?

He signed a new contract in September after taking 10 points from their first four games and they've lost every match since, their owner probably couldn't afford the pay-off now!...

I am really starting to feel better about this season. We are playing much better, Charlie's on form.....and there are worse teams than us! I didn't think that a month ago!!

Villa had an excellent start, 10pts from first 4 games. So they are still averaging a point a game. <cheers>

..... but getting 10pts from the first 4 games explains why they are not (yet) in the bottom 3. <ok>

I actually think that this year's League is stronger. Teams like West Ham and WBA to name but two are performing much better.

He means we're not bottom anymore. Burnley are below us. Positives mate, positives!

Agree with COL. This league is better quality than the one we exited two years ago. That year was a very poor standard.
