I find it strange that we have loaned out two attacking players when we can hardly muster and attempt in a game. Surely it would be better to have the different options when things aren't working out. We could do with the pace of Ince to come off the bench and we could also do with Sagbo holding up the ball for the likes of Ramierez, Ince, Ben Arfa and Diame. We have instead chosen to keep Aluko who has been ineffectual for a long time. It is hardly worth loaning out Sagbo if he is just going to be sat on the bench at Wolves every week.
I agree about Sagbo, less so about Ince. In Aluko's case have we chosen to keep him or does no-one want him....?
If we touted Aluko about I have no doubt that half of the Championship would want him. I would have rather brought Ince on yesterday than Aluko. I think Hernadez needs dropping to the bench and we should possibly try playing one of the attacking midfielders up front front like Ramierez or Ben Arfa.
Two more games before Jelavic should be back and hopefully at least one of the keepers. I think Hernandez will be back on the score sheet next weekend. Ince didn't impress in the brief chances he had this season, so I can see the logic of letting get up to speed again at Forest. We have just played three of the best teams in succession, getting two points. Could do with the win next week mind and I think we will get it.
Ince will have gone on loan to keep the cost of the tribunal down, when it goes to the independent assessor we'll just say he's not good enough yet, couldn't get in our first team squad and now on loan to a Championship club. Low fee will be set and he'll be back in January in the first team.
"when we can't even score" what a ridiculous comment. we've failed to score twice this season, once away at anfield and once against a southampton team that's steam-rollering everybody and not conceding at the other end. don't panic, mr mainwaring!
Ince has done absolutely nothing yet, if he shines at Forest he might get another look in, but for now we have too many players who play the same positions and it was sensible that he went out on loan. Sagbo's loan makes less sense, but I think Bruce expected we'd have enough back up with Ben Aefa, Ramirez and Aluko all able to play behind a main striker, but it hasn't really worked yet.
'When we can't score'? The only times we haven't scored was at Anfield and against the best defence in the Prem so far this season.
This. We've loaned out those players because they're better off not scoring for other teams rather than ours.
Why do people keep clammering for sagbo .. he isn't good enough despite his size, ince needs to get his confidence again, perfect move putting him out on loan. Some people have very short memories
Even if you don't rate him, Sagbo is exactly what we need with Jelavic being injured. We haven't any better options. Agreed on Ince.
Can't score!! We failed to score at Liverpool and failed against the best defence in the league! No need to panic. Regarding ince, am I right in thinking a fee still hasn't been agreed for him and it's looking likely to go to tribunal? If this is the case then I guarantee the loan move to forest is purely political Within clubs as we can then say at the tribunal 'he isn't getting a game for us therefore he's not worth the 8 mil Blackpool want' therefore cutting the price we pay down considerably. I can't imagine if this isn't the case we would let him out on loan and keep aluko who I'm starting to fell more and more that he's not up to premier league standard.
Aside from the tribunal valuation question I was very surprised we loaned Ince out. He was impressive IMO in his few games in August, has real pace and can score goals. Aluko has neither of these qualities and his decision making is abysmal. Ince is the natural back up to Hernandez alongside Jelavic. According to Forest fans he was the best player on the pitch yesterday and played the full 90. I think Ben Arfa will come good as he gets more playing time. "The Hull City loanee was the 'best Forest player on the pitch,' according to many supporters".
Sorry but disagree on sagbo, when we say he is exactly what we need what is that .. he didn't show enough for me ., drifted on to the flanks too often, although he tries his second touch is often a tackle to retrieve the poor first touch, his scoring is not at the races, were we fell down was not getting a third striker in who was able.. a grant holt tyoe if you like .. demba ba I seem to think was sold for peanuts, but alas sagbo in my opinion isn't the solution
not even sure that's the case. the main problem this season has been the daft errors that have led to us conceding, often late in a game. we've just played arsenal, liverpool, and second placed southampton and conceded two goals. things will pick up from now, including creativity and the goals for column.
