Potters inconsistent, Hammers currently on form so what is the consensus regarding the outcome amongst posters on here? I think we need to win today but we have to go all-out from the off, take our chances and cut out defensive lapses which IMO have been costing us recently. I would take a draw at the moment though but really hope for 3pts.

Allardyce v Hughes !! Is there a more unpleasant pair of managers in the Premier League?

    Yessir; in no particular order:
Wenger - its a Stoke thing
    Van Gaal
    'Arry
    Pardew

And I know most will disagree with me---Jose Mourinho.

Original question...if we can't score, we will get beaten. Our once super defence is no more, so I cannot see a 0 - 0 scoreline

I can't see West Ham not scoring unfortunately especially if 50/50 Sakho actually plays. However if we press them at every opportunity and don't sit back and let them play we could get the right result. Let's hope MH enjoys his birthday!

As for dislikeable managers - how about that religious fella from the Welsh valleys?

I enjoyed the game today. We had a good appetite for being industrious. Once again however we spurned a number of good scoring opportunities. This cost us the other two points as much as the two goals conceeded did , we just continue to have defensive lapses and the opposition make the most of them. WHU hardly threatened apart from that. We need to bring in a "better than good" striker and defender. Our left back position causes me some concern.

But I was very pleased with Bojan , Walters , Sidwell , Diouff and Moses.

We were superior for most of the game and our efforts deserved more than the single point , once again ! Please take my word for it because by the time the BBC MotD editor puts his scissors away you can bet your bottom dollar , it will look as if we were never "in it".

Thanks KKB, it's good to get the views of someone who attended the game as I only see the MOTD highlights. It's disappointing to have dropped 2 pts but it's reassuring to hear positive views.

We played brilliantly, Song goes in with a 2 footed challenge and they break upfield and score. Play like that every week we will do well this season. Well pleased and Bojan was MOTM. 2 pts dropped and gutted, West Ham no way deserved a or but hey it happens.

    We were really good today.

Walters, Bojan and Moses stood out for me but I could not identify any player that seemed to have an off day. Definitely two points dropped today.

Also, us fans! I thought the atmosphere was magnificent today; something I've commented on in the negative after previous home games. I was sat in the Boothen today though, not my usual family stand spot so perspective might be influencing that comment.

I thought Moses looked tired at about 75 mins (not surprising as he ran all game) and my only mild disappointment is that he wasn't replaced with Assaidi about then.

Thanks for the reports KKB, Zoz and Potts.

2-0 up, we should have parked Cris's magic bus

Well we were disappointed travelling back!

I thought the challenge of Song was worthy of red! He did not make contact with Diouff simply because he jumped three feet in the air. Unfortunately you can put both goals down to Moses. To be fair I thought the referee played advantage which is in the end worked against us. And to be honest Downing just wondering in the penalty area and Moses not tracking him tells me he was not focussed on his defensive duties.

Saying all that again we should have had the game sown up by half time. Diouf nearly connected with a great low cross from Moses(not shown on MOTD) and Adrienne made a good save when one on one with Diouff. Again in 2nd half Stoke had a good number of chances to get a third to kill the game off.

The team played really well today and great to see Bojan performing so well. Walters did exceptionally well against Cresswell. We can not complain that we did not creat chances but we must take more of them!

i am now away until 8th Dec so will get back then provided I can magic my password

    Best wishes
