History, you appear to be the only one saying its a penalty. Switch on SSN and listen to Charlie Nicholls

Mourinho's relationship with Chelsea fans is bizarre. They worship him but he seems to be apathetic about them. Today he said playing at Stamford Bridge is like playing in an empty stadium. Maybe Chelsea should increase the away allocation?! Didn't he say in his book that Chelsea fans aren't knowledgeable?

    Impartial Charlie Nichols?!?!

It wasn't nailed on but you see them given. Great run by hazard and great pen. Bottom line is we deserved the points.

No different to most teams in the country mate. Your own United are terrible at home when things are not going your way but brilliant away whatever the score. Should they increase the away allocation at OT for the same reason? The top teams are infested by tourists at home in this day and age but I'd put our away lot up with anyone when it comes to vocal support.

Jose makes a valid point but it is the price of success I'm afraid. He's also a very clever man and doesn't want complacency creeping in on or off the pitch.

As for us not being knowledgeable, I used to read the Beano!

Old Trafford has been rocking past few seasons getting behind the team, shows what you know and what you choose to want to believe

Fair point and I've been at OT when you could hear a pin drop and it's all a bit embarrassing. Surprising though that the crowd weren't up for it today. It was a derby which, despite what a lot of fans claim on this forum, is really important to both clubs (how far in advance was the match thread started?!). I guess the Chelsea fans just sat back and waited for what they thought would be the inevitable annihilation and when that didn't happen they started reading their Telegraphs/Daily Stars (depending on which type of fan they are :p).

Stop talking out you aris - Shteve below totally contradicts your nonsense. You lot are pony at home and that is not a dig at your club in any way, shape or form. I readily admit I rate you number 1 on your travels.

Agree Shteve, I've long thought our home support is reactionary to what is going on at pitch level rather than full on supportive vocally when we're struggling.

Yes, QPR is a derby re location but it isn't a fixture to get your juices flowing like a Spurs, West Ham or Arsenal.

OT was quiet in the last couple of years of SAF's tenure as the fans had become too accustomed to success and too corporate. It was actually pretty good at the start of last season but the quality of football and the results left most fans shell shocked. It's been pretty good this season as I think most fans don't know what to expect with each game and are just enjoying seeing a United team that tries to play attacking football. My pal asked me yesterday what I thought the score would be tomorrow and I said it could be anything from 2-1 United to 6-0 City. I quite like that!

To be fair, Swords, both MOTD pundits said it was "defo a pen", no Rangers players or staff complained - as MOTD illustrated, Vargas had not need to make the risky stupid challenge with a player covering Hazard on the inside.

Project was denied a more blatant pen in the run up to your fortunate but clever opportunist strike from Chelsea fan Charlie (note he barely celebrated).

Your only shot on goal resulted from a mis**t (we had 8/18 strikes), you had two corners v our 13 and Green made two fantastic saves to stop the score being embarrassing. You got and deserved nothing from the match, but appreciate that it being your cup final, even logical penalty shouts hurt.

Re the atmos, apart from the euphoric 2012 match because we had just conquered Camp Nou again, the games v QPR at the Bridge have always been a lousy noise going back to the 80s compared to Fulham, Spurs, West Ham, bigger games.

The noise v Arsenal this season was the best I for an early KO for a long time.

The last time I went to a Brentford/QPR it was a fab game and great atmosphere. I won't go on about rivalries and who people think are theirs but a London derby should always have spice and if QPR had not spent 16 years in the lower divisions and had some success like Chelsea then I think the game would have meant more to some of your newer fans. That is the reason why your ground is like a library, it's because you have too many plastic tourists who go because of the success. Jose points made in the press conference were correct. The last time I went to SB it was a library. I didn't go yesterday but watched the game on Sky and every time the camera showed the Chelsea fans it was like a scene from Trafalgar Sq, full of multi national tourists complete with cameras. All you could hear were QPR fans throughout the game bar about 2 mins after the Oscar goal.
As for the game I thought Chelsea deserved the win. Chelsea chased down every ball and kept us on our toes for 90mins. We won't come up with teams like that every week and if we continue with that performance, we will be okay. Oscar goal was class although hazard goes down easier than Ashley Young. Thought it was a pen although I can see what others are saying.
    Onwards and upwards

Its a pity the club banned Mick Greenaway, for supposedly being part of the "Chelsea headhunters group". SB was was never quiet when he was inside. Sadly no longer with us! We need a modern day version of Mick!

No denying it Ellers, I thought you were superb throughout and I didn't relax at any point until that final whistle went. You have City next up and before yesterday I wouldn't have given you a prayer but I now hold a little optimism.

I won't go on about our home support because for the most point and as stated above I agree. Ken Bates started the sanitation of Stamford Bridge whilst rising ticket prices, aging core support and tourists put the final nails in its coffin. Because of Bates we lost a generation of fans that have now been replaced by a breed of glory followers and kit purchasers. I feel lucky that my time was the era that although my club had little success on the pitch we had a following that is spoken about in awe to this very day

Your own club are no different fundamentally mate. How many 'die hards' did you have at Wembley never to be seen again?

I hope you turn things around and avoid the drop. I have far more ill will toward other clubs than QPR and if there is to be any relief in you being relegated is that much like Fulham you rarely fail to make it tough for us.

Agree, although I think the Mears family were first club to charge £1 for terracing.

We were more expensive in Div 2 than all Div 1 clubs bar Spurs under Mears and Ken. And then most expensive in Div 1 under Ken, first club to charge £3 then £5 fo standing, etc....

The amount of songs about the opposition tell you how much you care about them.

Fair post, Ellers, but even in the 80s we cared little about QPR and had no songs about them and very poor home crowds v them. We had songs for FUlham, West Ham, Arsenal, Millwall and obviously loads for Spurs but none for Rangers, and got similar size crowds against the rrrrs as we did for Stoke, Ipswich etc.

Moving on, I hope United can nick a point v City. Think it was 7-1 last season over two games

Bear with me this is about rivalry and support.

Polar Bears do not recognise international boundaries and lay no claim to territory (unless there is food there, then it becomes polar bear central till eaten). I have no strong feeling for following International football and I think it about time the Olympics dropped all the flag waving too and just have athletes coming together to compete. As a cub though I saw things differently.

I am a British polar bear with family as diverse as Scottish, Welsh, Irish (south), Norwegian, Italian (Sardinia) and Basque (Spain). Chelsea have been my team since I was five years old when i first went to school. I followed England religiously, every British club playing in Europe I passionately supported. I remember vividly sitting outside on the front door porch of my Nan's house with a group of mates and a radio cheering on Forest in the final. Domestically every London club was preferred to any other and only at derby time did I prioritise the London clubs. The next tier down was the clubs near my house, Chelsea, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Millwall, Brentford, QPR, Charlton and later Wimbledon. Lower down were Arsenal, West Ham, Spurs, Orient, and Barnet as they were outside my usual sphere of roaming. My Dad was always an Arsenal fan, Two of by best mates support West Ham and are season ticket holders and another is Spurs till he dies. The only game that had a 'derby' feel to me was against Fulham and that was a light hearted affair compared to others around the country. Some individuals felt different down to their own personal experiences. Temporary rivalries have always existed down to Chelsea challenging for trophies. I remember when we had to beat Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday. My personal Chelsea rival is L**ds, sorry for any bad language to any youngsters here.
